But he's as good a keeper as we've had for a long time. Much like other positions though, with Muric as his backup, he's not under any real pressure to perform either.

Perfectly and eloquently stated.

The test of a true 'great' is when the defence is having an off day. And the last two games, the defence has been woeful.

If so good you are...then save one of those 5 goals.

This board can be hilarious at times.

Nobody has called anyone crap TPL.

Someone simply asked if Smaba may have been overhyped.
I think it's a fair question to ask.

You are starting to sound like me  :)
Exaggerated to make the point Sniff ( perhaps poor choice of words ) but my take remains the same.

RE: Brice Samba - Alf Garnett - 09-03-2020

Samba is a class act. He has looked slightly shaky at times recently but lets not allow that to cloud our judgement.

A vast improvement on Pantilimon.

RE: Brice Samba - Derby My Arse - 12-03-2020

He's good. Sometimes very good but talk of him being the best since Shilton are a bit wide of the mark.

RE: Brice Samba - Widdow - 12-03-2020

He is the best goalkeeper since Dave Beasant!

I think he is great, especially considering his first season in a new country and hustle and bustle of the championship. Great character as well

Norman!

Except for the FA Cup game at Fratton Park.

RE: Brice Samba - Sabricadabra - 12-03-2020

He’s the best since we were last relegated from the top tier.

RE: Brice Samba - Paplane - 12-03-2020

Best keeper since Shilton - Van Breukelen by a mile.

I think I'd go along with that.

He's got character, I'll give him that.

Agreed. No contest.

Special mention to Crossley, Beasent and Sutton too who all proved themselves to be better than Samba at present in my opinion.

Best keeper since the last one.

He's got a few seasons and far more evidence required of being the last line of defence before trying their laces.

Not in the same universe as Shilton or Van Breukelen.

That's right. Sutton and Crossley proved themselves year after year.

Still early days for Samba yet although he has started very well.
