More leadership is welcome in the side.  So that's a good catch right there.

Forest seemed a different side with Dawson in the back line.

I did consider the same about formations in a emergency - 3 central and wing backs although we could also utilise Janko.

I believe we can win 2 and draw 2, this would be more than enough play offs momentum,

having those games in that order gives us the best chance to be more galvanised for the tougher games

the last brum result was perfect, possibly give us a good psychological edge, M o N had an opportunity to have a very close look at them and they, like us, know relatively little about how M o N will approach the game.

If either team had won we would of dropped down the league, Brum/Swansea lost out on 2 points, gone forever

if Brum had beat Swansea, away, with 10 men, it would of made the game seem so much more difficult

As it is, the best possible circumstances to getting something at st Andrews

M o N could focus on this game while the support network around him was dealing with most of the transfers

What a chance, and not just for us. Many teams will look at the table nd say 6th place is there for the taking. Maybe yes Derby have to come to the City Ground but allot of other games involving teams from 3rd place down to 11th ...those are games that will determine everything. Still we have to make sure that we bag the three points against teams at the lower end of the table, we lost enough of these...

Don’t forget that Derby will have one game in hand.

Derby will drop points against other teams, like yesterday, the game between us is important , apart from the rivalry, cause it will be a 6 pointer....I repeat ...looking at tge table its not just us or Derby , at least another 6 or 7 teams are still with a chance to grab 5th and 6th....just go back to last year nd see from where Fulham started their push last January...

If we can manage a win today then it is most definitely 'game on'.

RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-02-2019

We havent won consecutive games since September apparently. Need to start doing that and today would be a good time to start.

RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Alf - 02-02-2019

If Billy can nail 6 wins on the spin on return, no harm hoping MON can maybe even better that

RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Strawberry Avenger - 02-02-2019

Indeed.

I’m calling this now, no its not possible.

Time to prepare fore next season, evaluate which of the loans we may want to keep, develop Appiah and Yates. Stop playing those who wont be here next season, watson Geddy etc. Move on.
