They didn't look great tonight and that is a worry for the spurs game. Likewise do we rest players against Chelsea. The other side is they’ve lost 2 in a row without scoring and Sunderland could have been a draw or loss I think he’ll want to play them into form and what would be easier then dismantling poor old spurs RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - JWJW - 30-04-2026 Good performance by all. Shout out to Morato... Best game ever for us. RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - ac_vodka - 30-04-2026 Agree. Obviously related to his socks being down. Villa will want the points Sunday and we are better then Spurs. I can't see anything other then a Villa win or a draw. Emery has made it clear the league comes first but they also have an 8 points cushion over 6th place. If Newcastle beat Brighton I think villa can be certain of champions league football and might want his team fresh for next Thursday. Ideally Brighton beat Newcastle and Emery will play a strong line up against spurs a) to ensure they win and b) they get a bit of confidence. At which point a drab 0-0 plays out RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Username - 30-04-2026 Can’t believe I’ve just witnessed us win a European semi final. Shout out to Morato and thought Dominguez was outstanding. RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - McDurban - 30-04-2026 Job done. Can't ask for more. RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - RyanR - 30-04-2026 VP’s post match interview is really good. So much tactical insight. A far cry from Dyche talking about running and fitness RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Stojanm - 30-04-2026 Great result Forest, playing so much better under Vitor. Whatever happens I think Vitor has done more than enough to keep the job RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Paplane - 30-04-2026 Decent performance from the lads. I was thinking we'd struggle without Sangare and with Onana in for them but we managed to nick it. Its going to be a pressure cooker over there next week, trying to hang onto a slender lead. RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Salvatore Matrecano - 30-04-2026 Outstanding result given the team we had to put out and lack of depth on the bench. Hope one or two are back next week. Going to be proper nervy as they will have to come at us. Impossible to call. Penalties? RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Salvatore Matrecano - 01-05-2026 Just seen the Anderson tackle back, a bit naughty but so quick I don’t think intentional, barely a yellow never mind red, don’t know what Emery is so mad about. Assume he is trying to prime VAR to give them favours next week. RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Fumanchew - 01-05-2026 There were tasty tackles all night think the ref was fair wish we had him every week in the prem |
