McAtee now the messiah then?

RE: Vitor Pereira - Our Manager - Mcforest - 16-02-2026

He is not the Messiah just a very naughty boy

No but we are struggling in the final third.

A solution to that could be to get both MGW and McAtee into the starting eleven.

It has got to be tried at least

I would go 3 4 2 1:

Sels

Cunha Milenkovic Murillo

Aina Sangare Anderson Williams

MGW McAtee

Jesus

I think swap Aina to RCB and add in N'Doye at RWB, if you're doing this tactic.

I suspect it'll be 433 and broadly the same team as the most recent game though...

Yed that is also possible Wassy. Savona could also replace Cunha. There are plenty of options for this system.

I have no problem with it, I would play literally any team that gets a result at this point and to be honest I don’t care whether its gungho attack winning 5-4 or park the bus 1-0.

Just again we brought in 3 wide players costing £100m and aren’t playing any of them like that. Its the muddled thinking of how we want to play. Even the fact that its a debate at this point in the season is almost beyond belief.

Unfortunately Sal it is what it is and now it is all about survival. Bakwa can also play in this system like Ndoye could.

I'd argue at this point, those guys are a big part of the reason we have been bad this year, none of them have really contributed much (including CHO). It is confusing that Mcatee has not really been given much game time if nothing else due to the lack of contribution of others. What's Dominguez really offering as a wde player?

I maintain in Ange's first proper game vs Betis where he went 433 with MGW out wide, Sangare, Ando, Luiz in the middle we brielfy were on to something then he never revisited after Luiz got injured and it's never been revisited since. We looked so good in that first half then went Luiz went down he went back to 4231 and that was that.

There was a 20 minute spell at Betis that is easily our best period of any match this season.

RE: Vitor Pereira - Our Manager - Paplane - 16-02-2026

I'm not convinced we should be drastically changing the shape this close to the end of the season. We have no time to experiment after all.

Send the team out as they're used to playing and only change the shape mid game, on the hoof, if needs be. And send the odd sub on when something's clearly not working!
