He is apain in the arse, wins free kicks breaks the game up BUT on our terms, in the opposition half. Everton did that to us today and that one is on Nuno.and his selection. That said Dominguez was decent RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - Username - 12-04-2025 Thought Everton were superb to be honest, a completely different team that we played at Goodison. Frustrating afternoon and not in any way enjoyable. MGW really seemed to struggle and I thought we were worse after Jota Silva got subbed. RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - Salvatore Matrecano - 12-04-2025 Don’t think either Elanga or Wood looked fit to be honest. We missed Aina too. As said above, frustrating as it was I don’t think some of us are giving Everton enough credit. Never had one good chance all afternoon, possibly Arsenal the only other team that have done that to us. RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - ozzyten10 - 12-04-2025 Jota silva going off was the right call but playing 442 wasn’t - MGW became frustrated and ended up looking worse. Elanga not taking the corner screams to me that he has an issue that is groin related to me. We never got going all match. Everton stifled us in a 451 and totally bossed midfield. Their tactical fouls were endless and they played for set pieces but they did it very well. Back 4 were giants and obrien played CHO better than any other fullback I’ve seen at home. Aina is a big miss. Moreno is lacking compared to Williams on the left and how he didn’t block the through ball after the block - just fall on it and he stops it! Murillo though - an awful touch - just boot it lad! A poor result - a draw would have been OK given the performance but that was a sickener. Tottenham away next - we need to turn up to that one! RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - Tricky - 12-04-2025 We werent at our best by a long chalk today. Our passing was woeful at best and there didnt seem to be any imagination about our play. Im actually wondering if the players are maybe thinking about Wembley, which is distracting them? I know players shouldnt think like that, but for the vast majority of our side, this will be the first time playing at our national stadium. We can play better than we have done today and Europe is still possible. It is still in our hands and we have to show a reaction, starting next week at Tottenham. Last week we lost due to a poor first half and two minutes of totally switching off. However, if some of our players had been wearing their shooting boots, we couldve beaten Villa 2-5. Sadly, this week we offered nothing. Shit happens in football. We move on RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - TrickySte - 12-04-2025 We need to get better in possession. We're a great counter attack team but look absolutely clueless when teams dont give us space, so we eneded up just lumping the ball forward to 2 centre backs that won everything. Sitting off them & letting them boss the opening 15 minutes was baffling also, completely set the tone for the game & killed any atmopshere. RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - Fumanchew - 12-04-2025 At least that’s our shittest performance of the season out of the way RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - Salvatore Matrecano - 12-04-2025 (12-04-2025, 08:21 PM)Fumanchew Wrote: At least that’s our shittest performance of the season out of the way It was probably the worst home performance since…erm….Forest 0 Everton 1 last season. Hopefully we won't get anywhere near as bad as that in our remaining fixtures. RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - stirred - 12-04-2025 It’s never fun watching Everton / Moyes. They did what they do well and we didn’t have the answers. At least we know next week won’t be like that with Ange’s Spurs. RE: Nottingham Forest - Everton - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 13-04-2025 Well done Everton. You totally deserved the three points. We also deserve to be third in the league. We go again next week at Spurs.
