RE: Nottingham Forest - Aston Villa - Simon - 15-12-2024

on the penalty the initial grab looks to be just before he gets in the box - can’t believe the pundits haven’t picked up on that.

Thought it was stonewall at the time but having watched it back looks like the right decision even if not given for a different reason lol.

As for the Table...........just look at the teams below us (except the bin dippers - who were taken apart yesterday)!!!!

What a great time to be a Forest Fan!

I can see why it wasn't given but if it had been given I wouldn't have complained.

Anderson took a huge risk and I hope he doesn't do it again because he probably won't be so lucky next time.

Defo not a penalty due to the shirt pull on Anderson before the incident in the box.

Very simple. Yes on its own, its a penalty, however combined with the foul before, its not a penalty as it would have been a free kick to Forest outside the box for the shirt pull which held Anderson back - holding is an offence and warrants a free kick to be awarded.

Really don't see what all the fuss is about.

Elliot Anderson wasn't taking any prisoners.
Some of the best tacking I have seen in a very long time.
It does not end there though, once he's floored one of them he dances past the rest and places the perfect pass.

There is no fuss just a good discussion.

To put things more into perspective lets imagine that was Rogers doing the same thing to Anderson in our box.

All of us on here 100% would be screaming that it's a pen.

And I imagine we'd all have been screaming for a foul if Morgan Rogers had won the ball off Aina in the same manner that Anderson did from Cash for the wnner.

Yes we would be complaining if we had conceded in added time like that. However we had a perfectly good goal wiped out because someone sitting watching a screen 100 miles away decided Elanga hadn’t shaved his armpits.
I would say bad decisions evened themselves out, they seem to be this year whereas last year we never got a break.

On another note VAR yet again pissing me off. I actually hardly celebrated the winning goal because I was convinced it would be reviewed for a foul. Thankfully it wasn’t but I feel cheated of that moment when I should have been properly losing it. Don’t know if others were the same but it genuinely ruins the game for me. The 4 minute wait for an offside decision where it is clearly subjective where you draw the lines and the interpretation of the millisecond the pass is made is pathetic. Fine if you are at home, absolutely awful as a live experience.

I was the same, only really celebrated the first goal then was scarred by the outcome!

Also, I can confirm watching at home did not help with the offside, if anything it was pretty clear they were just guessing.

Completely agree!

My wife, who doesn't give an eff, was more excited with the winning goal and I just said, it'll be ruled out.
