Johnson clattered by one of their players too. I hate pre-season matches. I think it's more about it being Barnsley. Never friendly with them RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - nffc93 - 16-07-2022 I despair at some of the fans we have on twitter. RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - ozzyten10 - 16-07-2022 They are idiotic - minutes in legs and that is it. That said I hope we put on more of a show on Wednesday as I’m going! RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - Sausage Roll - 16-07-2022 Finished 0-0. RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - Salvatore Matrecano - 16-07-2022 Not being critical and havent seen it but not many goals so far suggests we arent creating many chances? Lack of midfield options becoming apparent? Lack of midfield options becoming apparent? Think we really need a number 10 in soon. Zinc might not have been the greatest but his work rate was exceptional. Would really like us to get MGW done quickly as we could do with a player like that linking up the play. RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - zicorice - 16-07-2022 As it stands we are lacking goals. No 10 is crucial to way we play and no doubt this will be sorted. Maybe not in time for August games but by Sept 1st. Preseason means nothing- other than fitness and not getting clattered. RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - Fumanchew - 16-07-2022 First time some are integrating into the team today though still building an understanding as a new back 5/6 and new front line too RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - BadDog - 16-07-2022 I went and it was rubbish, lol the end basically. Taiwo looked and played like a lost lamb, but let's see how he does when we have a midfield. Mighten was our best player. Great 1v1 and has always been a talent RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - TrickySte - 16-07-2022 Yeh, wasn't impressed with Awoniyi at all. Hopefully it's a case of him settling in and having a better midfield behind him. Cafu & Hammond shouldn't be anywhere near a Prem squad. RE: Pre-Season & Friendlies 2022/23 - HebdenRed - 16-07-2022 Have been to both Burton and Barnsley and im not panicking….but Im not convinced at all by Taiwo. I know he’s adjusting to a new team and different game but he hasn’t really pulled up any trees in either game. He was billed as a Davis upgrade but hasn’t shown any of the pace and power I was expecting. His lower body strength is lacking and he will get eaten up by premier league centre backs…. Unless something changes Positives - Oli Hammond - Biancone - Alex M - Scott McKenna today - rolls Royce - And young Donelly. Thought he was a defensive midfielder but looked very comfortable at left centre back. Yep, we need some more bodies and creativity but we’ve still got a few weeks to go. |
