RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - Strawberry Avenger - 24-08-2021 If it's any comfort Bournemouth got Hammered 6-0 by Norwich. SA. Hughton doesn't play youth. And now he has. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - Floridared - 24-08-2021 I feel sorry for the young ‘uns. Didn’t watch the game and don’t intend to, it’s to depressing to see us loose time after time although I was trying to keep current by following the comments on this forum. They were undone by a couple of minutes of quality based off some unforced(?) errors. It was basically our u23/Academy vs Premiership Wolves. There were lots of decent moments. They'll learn from it. Any illusions of putting the youth in vs recruiting have been firmly framed with some tempered realism. Forest are so short with the 1st team, Hughton couldn't take any risks with the team for Derby in a game they were going to lose anyway. SA. Youth, experience. No matter he always sets out the same. He is draining any enjoyment from watching. RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - Strawberry Avenger - 24-08-2021 I remember playing a practice match vs Bangor's team. They were like superhumans compared to us. Battered 14-0. And we had one lad who'd played for Notts County, I think. It's alot easier said that done. SA. It's recruitment. Forest are short of competitive Championship quality. That's the CEO's job. SA. RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - CamRed - 24-08-2021 What was the point in putting out this team? Morale is low enough without us getting spanked for 4. CH should have put out his strongest team and told them to get at least 1 shot on target - Build up some confidence for the Derby game. RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - Username - 24-08-2021 Games like that can do massive damage to a young lads career. What are the positives on the pitch ahead of Saturday? RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - Long John - 24-08-2021 I can’t remember feeling this down about forest since Megsons teams in league one. I’m Almost at Swindon away level. One of my lowest points too, about a 4 hour journey to stand on an open terrace in the pissing rain to watch us lose, whilst the locals sang yore not famous anymore to us. Lovely stuff. RE: Nottingham Forest - Wolves - optimistic_red - 24-08-2021 Just got home, didn't hear any boos at end. Thought our u23 did well considering, and there is talent out there. That isn't enough for long Championship season we badly need strengthening. Keeper was probably MOM, most ineffectual Grabban and Colback. Fornah and Back look ready for the step up to 1st team regulars, and all the other young lads had good moments. . |
