RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Strawberry Avenger - 24-02-2021 ""We didn't have loads of options where our energy is in the middle of the pitch." SA. Thanks, I had to get these completed last night because we have a little game this Friday & I want to trawl the oppositions Forums before the match, it may be a bit tasty!! RE: Opposition Fans Comments - PsychoStanleyStone - 24-02-2021 i thought the last part of the last comment was the most gracious .... ''... They just had more stardust than us." RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Joe Baker Legend - 24-02-2021 sheep v Reds the flock Pre Match Comments...... Dus Recon? I’m going for a win me. What do you guys think? I had absolutely no idea we were due to play them - I can’t wait until we are allowed to return as fans and look forward to games again Derby 3 Forest 1 Can't we change the title to notts forest Even more strange when Notts is much more factually accurate than Nottingham. U want sum? Absolutely, years of working in Notts it always made me chuckle just how much calling them Notts triggers them Beat them, go above them, and shut the Notts inbreds up. Once A Ram Always A Ram. Kazim to win it for us. Can not wait now an till Friday night. I think the win tonight takes the pressure off a bit. A draw and 4 points out of the two games would be fine, although obviously a win would be great... Wayne gets it... totally. He’s fine the players are fine......Interview ‘got to go and calm down the kit man and back room staff though’ Utterly wonderful. He’s winning plaudits all round. Wayne Rooney is a Ram Difficult to justify much change after that win, and dominant performance: Marshall Byrne Edmundson Wisdom Clarke Buchanan Bird Shinnie Knight Waghorn Kazim-Richards Only change is to bring Waghorn in, who was excellent off the bench. Nothing against Gregory, but you can’t leave Waghorn out after that second half. I’ll be happy with a point. I said four points from Huddersfield and forest would be good. Hoping for a win though obviously Not much between the teams, massive local Derby, anything could happen. So sad there’s no crowd. To win would be momentous of course. But if it doesn’t go our way it won’t ultimately change our season - both of these teams will finish comfortably above the relegation zone and we’ll finish above them You know what, I usually get some nerves before we play Forest. But, for the first time in a long while, I think this will be a win. I just like everything about Rooney’s management at the moment, even when I don’t agree with a decision, I.e., the reluctance to use more subs, he is more often proven right. So I see a team that is growing in confidence, has good camaraderie and can seemingly adapt to different formations. Yes, we’re going to win, I genuinely have no doubts Grabben Injured for them. Got his laces stuck in his beard I hate them and they are poo even with 700000 players to pick from. CKR to score the winner. 352, 343 or 433? A very tough decision for Rooney. I imagine he'll go with 433 which he perhaps feels counters Forest's preferred 4231 - Double up on Murray whilst battling man-for-man on the 5 in midfield and the 2 full backs. Marshall Byrne Wisdom Clarke Buchanan Knight Bird Shinnie Waghorn Kazim Jozwiak Harsh on Edmundson based on last night, but he'll be the victim of Wisdom's and Clarke's good form when playing a back 4. Different game though. What didn’t work against Huddersfield may well work against Forest. Though I wouldn’t have a problem with us lining up 4-3-3, I just don’t know what CB to drop. Would be very harsh on Edmundson who was excellent first half yesterday. Both teams started the season terribly and are now in fantastic form. We have slowly been climbing the table together. Normally for this fixture it seems one of us is playing badly and the other well, and the side playing well ends up getting derailed. Understandably there's an air of confidence on here, just as there is on the gumps board. Because of our terrible start, every match now feels as if it is "season-defining" and this one even more so. Win and we move above them with a game in hand and, however briefly, move within 10pts of the playoffs. Lose and we are still looking over our shoulders. And we should remember it is now a very long time since we won this match, having had some outrageous calls in the interim. For instance, Joz's first Ram's goal cruelly ruled out as the winner in the last match. Remarkably, these few weeks in, I now trust in Rooney to set us up with the right team in the right formation. I love that we have options and mostly feel extremely resolute and solid. Derby expects every man to do his duty. Come on you Rams! Can’t help thinking Hughton’s going to park the bus and we’ll have trouble breaking them down. Goes without saying I would love a win but I won’t be too despondent with a draw, 4 points out of 6 isn’t too shabby this week. Difficult parking the bus against our rather impressive dead ball situations.........Only takes one to go in! Both sides in similar form. Hope we win but i'd take a draw. I'd go with the team that started the 2nd half Yesterday. Who knows, maybe Roos will get a surprise recall for the big game You never know... Marshall as captain I’ve no problem with at all and they’ll have discussed it in detail I’m sure. But I’d prefer CKR as captain rest of season. The man has smashed all expectations from all Derby fans and when they announced on commentary ‘the noise you can hear is CKRs calling for the ball’ I thought you’ll do for me, I’d wondered what that was about. His inspiration on the pitch we can all see and I hope we can have a couple more years from Chris Martin’s lesser replacement. And here’s what he’s gonna do to any forest that may get in his way...... DCFC win for me. Just can't see us losing this one, unless we get very unlucky at both ends. I'm terrible at predictions, I'll go 2-0. Game to be called off because of the snow around the ground. Then the ref will realise there's no fans anyway and call the game back on. Forest fans at work trying to big themselves up for this one. Thankfully there’s more Derby fans (and I work in Nottingham) and we are all worryingly confident about this one!! Forest haven’t conceded a lot lately so I’m going 1-0 Derby. Come on Derby. Kick them in their little pea size balls. Living in Notts means I’m surrounded by Reds. They seem to be similar to us - quietly confident after their uptick in form. Krovinovic will be their key man, plays as the number 10. One of our centre Mids will need to snap at him when he gets the ball (or both Knight and Shinnie)! We also need our wide men to ask lots of questions of their fullbacks. Get Buchanan and Byrne up to double team. That is where they appear weakest. Cyrus and Bong stand off their man at times and this should allow us to cause problems. Kazim can also bully their centre backs when the balls in the air. Got to keep it tight and get the ball at the right end. Rams 2-1 Scum. All the oldies to score (CKR, Gregory and Murray). Rooney's first Forest game in sole charge, I hope he's got the memo. Whatever Cocu's success and failings I'll never forgive hime for his lack of respect for our rivalry in the Carabo Cup matchup, never want to see a repeat My prediction; 2-0 Derby, but relying on EFL to send better officials than they dished out at Rotherham last eve, there were FIVE Forest players offside at various points during their goal, inc the goalscorer It's a game that finds both teams on decent runs of form. The absence of a crowd makes this really "just another game" (I know, heresy) but its not inconceivable that we could field a team with less than 10 caps against the great enemy. I couldn't name any of their players, but suspect that the game might mean more to them Thus I project a draw, perhaps 1-1 Forest got lucky last night, hopefully they’ve used it all up. So, 5-0...Bry...CKR hat trick! Then I woke up...1-1. 0-0... I don't fancy this one. We outplayed them at theirs under Cocu and poor officiating cost us the win. I believe Rooney will have the game to beat the Red Dogs and select his XI accordingly. Without the Covid thing we would have flown in yesterday morning and been at the game. Getting wasted in the Neppy today for 67 reasons. Drinking in Burton tomorrow and then the big EM Derby win on Friday. A sociable Saturatedday to follow and fly back home Sunday. Recovering Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. As it is, it's stay at home time again. 3-0 Those were the days MA. Nostalgia is all we have. And you try and tell the young people of today that - they won't believe you RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Fumanchew - 24-02-2021 So sickenly on there knees for Wayne’s schlong the lot of them! RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 25-02-2021 I sense that they are a bit worried... RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Paplane - 25-02-2021 Ive seen a lot of their games recently online. They're not particularly inpressive but seem to be able to flush out results. Id say we're better than them at the moment so if it comes down to talent the game's ours. But, i think Hughton woll just want to get out of there with a point and move on. So that's my prediction, a draw. RE: Opposition Fans Comments - wassy04 - 25-02-2021 Their comments sound remarkably similar to us I'd say. Two teams in very similar situations. Although their off the field situation is less stable than ours right now RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Strawberry Avenger - 25-02-2021 They seem pensive. SA. RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Ciscokid - 25-02-2021 One of them is so thick he thinks you can be offside "at some time during the build up". Suppose there's no way you could explain offside to such morons even with a blackboard and chalks. The 5 offside comment, if people watch the goal they will see the ball came back into the box from a Rotherham defender therefor no one is offside.
