Only change is to bring Waghorn in, who was excellent off the bench. Nothing against Gregory, but you can’t leave Waghorn out after that second half.

Not much between the teams, massive local Derby, anything could happen. So sad there’s no crowd. To win would be momentous of course. But if it doesn’t go our way it won’t ultimately change our season - both of these teams will finish comfortably above the relegation zone and we’ll finish above them
You know what, I usually get some nerves before we play Forest.
But, for the first time in a long while, I think this will be a win.
I just like everything about Rooney’s management at the moment, even when I don’t agree with a decision, I.e., the reluctance to use more subs, he is more often proven right.
So I see a team that is growing in confidence, has good camaraderie and can seemingly adapt to different formations.

I imagine he'll go with 433 which he perhaps feels counters Forest's preferred 4231 - Double up on Murray whilst battling man-for-man on the 5 in midfield and the 2 full backs.

Harsh on Edmundson based on last night, but he'll be the victim of Wisdom's and Clarke's good form when playing a back 4.
Different game though. What didn’t work against Huddersfield may well work against Forest. Though I wouldn’t have a problem with us lining up 4-3-3, I just don’t know what CB to drop. Would be very harsh on Edmundson who was excellent first half yesterday.
Both teams started the season terribly and are now in fantastic form. We have slowly been climbing the table together. Normally for this fixture it seems one of us is playing badly and the other well, and the side playing well ends up getting derailed. Understandably there's an air of confidence on here, just as there is on the gumps board.
Because of our terrible start, every match now feels as if it is "season-defining" and this one even more so. Win and we move above them with a game in hand and, however briefly, move within 10pts of the playoffs. Lose and we are still looking over our shoulders. And we should remember it is now a very long time since we won this match, having had some outrageous calls in the interim. For instance, Joz's first Ram's goal cruelly ruled out as the winner in the last match.
Remarkably, these few weeks in, I now trust in Rooney to set us up with the right team in the right formation. I love that we have options and mostly feel extremely resolute and solid. Derby expects every man to do his duty. Come on you Rams!
Can’t help thinking Hughton’s going to park the bus and we’ll have trouble breaking them down. Goes without saying I would love a win but I won’t be too despondent with a draw, 4 points out of 6 isn’t too shabby this week.

Marshall as captain I’ve no problem with at all and they’ll have discussed it in detail I’m sure. But I’d prefer CKR as captain rest of season. The man has smashed all expectations from all Derby fans and when they announced on commentary ‘the noise you can hear is CKRs calling for the ball’ I thought you’ll do for me, I’d wondered what that was about. His inspiration on the pitch we can all see and I hope we can have a couple more years from Chris Martin’s lesser replacement. And here’s what he’s gonna do to any forest that may get in his way......

Living in Notts means I’m surrounded by Reds. They seem to be similar to us - quietly confident after their uptick in form. Krovinovic will be their key man, plays as the number 10. One of our centre Mids will need to snap at him when he gets the ball (or both Knight and Shinnie)! We also need our wide men to ask lots of questions of their fullbacks. Get Buchanan and Byrne up to double team. That is where they appear weakest. Cyrus and Bong stand off their man at times and this should allow us to cause problems. Kazim can also bully their centre backs when the balls in the air. Got to keep it tight and get the ball at the right end.

My prediction; 2-0 Derby, but relying on EFL to send better officials than they dished out at Rotherham last eve, there were FIVE Forest players offside at various points during their goal, inc the goalscorer
It's a game that finds both teams on decent runs of form. The absence of a crowd makes this really "just another game" (I know, heresy) but its not inconceivable that we could field a team with less than 10 caps against the great enemy. I couldn't name any of their players, but suspect that the game might mean more to them

We outplayed them at theirs under Cocu and poor officiating cost us the win. I believe Rooney will have the game to beat the Red Dogs and select his XI accordingly.
Without the Covid thing we would have flown in yesterday morning and been at the game. Getting wasted in the Neppy today for 67 reasons. Drinking in Burton tomorrow and then the big EM Derby win on Friday. A sociable Saturatedday to follow and fly back home Sunday. Recovering Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. As it is, it's stay at home time again.

Ive seen a lot of their games recently online. They're not particularly inpressive but seem to be able to flush out results. Id say we're better than them at the moment so if it comes down to talent the game's ours. But, i think Hughton woll just want to get out of there with a point and move on. So that's my prediction, a draw.

One of them is so thick he thinks you can be offside "at some time during the build up". Suppose there's no way you could explain offside to such morons even with a blackboard and chalks.

The 5 offside comment, if people watch the goal they will see the ball came back into the box from a Rotherham defender therefor no one is offside.
