Both true in my opinion.

4 points from this week taking it to 13 out of a possible 15 from this period will no doubt leave us in the top 2 positions. That is a fantastic start to the season. Performances will improve as well as we go further in to the season we will show more quality on the ball.

RE: Next 6 Games - Simon - 30-09-2019

some big matches over the next couple of days which mean some of the teams around us will drop points:

Leeds v West Brom
Brentford v Bristol
Charlton v Swansea
Middlesbourough v Preston
Wigan v Birmingham
Reading v Fulham
Blackburn v Forest
Hull v Sheff Weds
Stoke v Huddersfield
Luton v Millwall
Cardiff v QPR
Barnsley v Derby

Leeds v West Brom and Charlton v Swansea are the stand out matches for me. If we can get a positive result at Blackburn it would really keep the pressure on at the top.

It's amazing that out of the current top 10 in the league, 8 teams have away games this mid-week. So I can see quite a few points being dropped. Any team that secures an away victory will make big gains in the league standings this week. Hope it's us, but can we do 4 away wins on the bounce? I doubt it to be honest.

6 more games will establish a pattern for this season, perhaps.

A promising start. Top teams and bottom teams beaten...including the ones Forest struggle against and we even won a 'must win' game vs Stoke to go top. Momentarily.... (Usually the kind of game Forest capitulates in...)

How they survive without Dawson for '2' games and how the 'Christmas' season compares to last will be telling.

SA.

Although the start to the season has been great I've just got a feeling that the bubble is about to pop. TBH I think we are not firing on all cylinders and although the results are going our way, most attacking performances have been just so so, coupled with great defensive displays. its been pointed out that we are being dominated by most teams, We even made Barnsley look good and if they were more clinical in front of goal we would have lost, same with Charlton and Stoke. Birmingham apart, we do not seem to be creating many chances, with few shots on goal.
I can see two defeats coming up, but happy to eat humble pie come Sunday.

We are not the side of old either. Don't want to take anything for granted but if we keep Watkins quiet then we should have enough in our locker to beat Brentford. One game at a time though and Blackburn is next up tonight.

This has been my concern over the last few matches, however if we are getting results playing under par. Which is perfect for a promotion push, a good performance tonight would be nice, we was a yard or too slower than stoke Barnsley and Charlton.

Although Watkins takes the headlines there is lots more depth to their quality than just him.

I'd have Watkins in my Forest squad.
