Good game, a lot of people saying we got lucky, not sure I agree, we were lucky on Thursday IMO but fully deserved a point today and could have gone either way.
Really need to put this cant win at home thing to bed though, massive week coming up.

You can definitely tell why Villa are 4th. Definitely a fair result. I think some of our players were off it today and we should go fairly strong on Thursday to get players into form again. McGinn was exceptional for them I thought. It’s a shame we didn’t bid high enough all them years ago.

We were lucky. How Villa missed a few of those chances is beyond me. Nonetheless, we did play quite well at times. Neco was superb again. As was Sels.

We deserved a little bit of luck today because we had such bad luck in our previous two home games against Liverpool and Fulham.

Sels - great save from mcginn - steady hands all game but think he is carrying an injury - not taking goal kicks and estimation kick long
Aina - our best attacking outlet - worried he is injured
Murillo - solid enough
Milenkovic- solid enough
Neco - mom performance
Sangare - probably the pick of our midfield today - had a better second half
Anderson - didn’t win many 50/50 today against a very strong Villa midfield
MGW - a few flashes but a nothing game from him
Hutchinson - poor lost the ball so much in the first 20 minutes - weak
Cho - I thought he played Ok. There is so little movement in front or in the box I don’t know what people expect him to do? Calmly played in Neco for the equaliser when crowd were getting restless about not shooting…
Jesus- not as good at holding the ball up but didn’t get any help from ref when getting manhandled. Interesting he stayed on in the double 10.
Wood- building up his minutes
Ndoye- interesting he was chosen to come on at right back - vitor obviously has some trust in him
Domi- should have come on earlier for Hutchinson
Yates - didn’t get to do much
Vitor — one thing I’ve noticed is his in game tweaks. He adjusted the positioning of the full back and wingers - with the two pivots which led to our equaliser. He then went 4321 with asymmetrical winger and Sangare covering the right side to combat villas box midfield and also went man for man which was brave.
We seem to be getting a bit of consistency but glad they didn’t have their shooting boots on today. We should have bought Morgan Rogers when we got promoted - we had scouted him and he was an option!

Totally agree on Neco, bloke is a machine, Sels some really good saves.

A tight game for me - a bit of luck or better connection by MGW then we win! Also Jesus had two really good chances - his header was a poor miss.

Once the flag goes up or a whistle goes the game stops regardless. Hence why they are meant to keep flags down/not whistle if its tight.

We also created some huge chances hence our xG being higher than theirs. Thought we were on top second half, we even looked a threat on a corner with Wood on the field too!

Was thinking back to MGW's goal vs. Palace a few seasons ago but that was only flagged after he scored.
