Aurier and Kouyate look solid performers. Frueler dependable. And Yates just looks like a warrior going to war. Special mention to Awoniyi too. At last the team is set up to play to his strengths and he puts in a decent performance.

Taiwo was excellent off the ball, used his power to good effect. Nice to have an outlet, he definitely deserves to have a run starting now. We suddenly worked out how to pass too, everything was just more crisp.

I forgot how good this feeling is!

Big difference today was the out ball to the forwards was productive with Awoniyi and not Brennan. I dont want to beat Brennan up any more but his omission made a hugh difference.

I do agree but let's not oversell Taiwo. His hold up play was good but his goal was still a fluke again. You take it all day of course!  :giggle:

He keeps on ending up at the right place at the right time, it was no fluke. It's his job.

Also Special mentions to Aurier and Lingard who really looked the part.
Great save at the end by Henderson although Im sure had it gone in we would have had a case for Alisson doing a wrestling manoeuvre on Yates.
What on earth was Cook doing on the right wing to put in a perfect cross?!
Lets hope this is the turning point.

Looked like a training ground set piece routine.

What I have been screaming for.

Johnson dropped.

Strong midfield.

Awoniyi up top.

Thanks for listening Steve.

Does anyone know if the bloke in the Bridgford End is ok?

Nice to see Grabbs supporting the boys and Samba being vocal on social media.

The positioning was good but it doesn't make the shot hitting his wrong leg and somehow hitting the post not a fluke. Obviously will take it and his performance was good outside of that

I am not going to look for a negative because they were fantastic every single one of them. I have waited 23 years for that and it was worth every hour.

Me too I usually delete it not even watching it.

I wonder what our favourite Leicester boy will say.

Delighted for everyone at the club today. Been under huge amounts of pressure recently.

There must have been a real conversation at the point of coops signing his contract. Feels like he might have been advised to stop the rot and get on with his job. Hopefully we can kick on, not get arrogant but use today as a bit of a blueprint.

Still improvement needed in the final third of the pitch in terms of quality and decision making but so so much better today, we carried a genuine threat. Really pleased to see awoniyi make a big difference to how we played.

Big shout out to the midfield today too. All did well, especially young Yates!

RE: Nottingham Forest - Liverpool - optimistic_red - 22-10-2022

Motd will just speak about Liverpool, probably won't mention us like on Wednesday against Brighton.

What a fantastic performance, throughly deserved. Do many good performances, the switch to 433 have been great. Stopped shipping 4 goals a game, and it gives us a chance. Cooper now picking a largely settled team and its showing.

I am usually critical of Yates, but he was great today, not just when Liverpool has ball but also in possession, shame Alison saved his shot.

That can only give us confidence making us better. COYRs

Klopp is everyone's favourite manager but today I think he showed his true colours.

After the FA Cup win he was magnanimous, but that was the cup.

Today my interpretation today after listening to his two post match interviews was that we were not worthy to be on the same field as the Fabulous, Wonderful, Incredible Scousers.

He thought they would turn up and take all three points, 75% possession, yes but each team had seven shots on target and I believe we scored 1 more goal.
