Yates was good when he came on but Mangala has been brilliant so far. I feared for us when he went off to be honest.

A fair result in the end and a good game of Football.

I thought he looked a little off the pace, Yates demonstrated a more attacking intent

I would take a point against Spurs….

Agreed mate that Yates looked more of an attacking threat.

However I really like Mangals's over all game. The way he breaks up play, makes the pass without giving it away, then finds space and his positioning etc. I think he is 'the glue' for us.

But Yates was good when he came on, very good.

RE: Everton - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 20-08-2022

Im watching Irish tv. MON is in the studio taking all the credit for Yatesy!
He had a good chance to win it at the end. Looking at Gray’s goal to be fair it was quality control and finish, we need to get used to dealing with that level of pace and skill.

RE: Everton - Nottingham Forest - McDurban - 20-08-2022

Yates changed the way the team played, ball retained and passing around the Everton box with the odd shot from range and the goal. He had a couple of shots, very impressed with him.
Toffolo also played well for the goal dragging the Everton RWB with him in field leaving the space for Johnson to occupy.
Once again Johnson found his space on the left rather than the right.

Everyone played well, except for their goal where the defence was not as organized as it should be in no man's land.

Feels good to be deflated by a draw.

Thought we looked better with MGW, Yates and Kouyate in the side.

Lingard looked very immobile today.

McKenna and Worrall get caught out a fair bit, all three games Worrall has been done too easily on occasions. It’s a poor goal to concede.

It's a great problem to have all these midfield options.

To be honest when Mangala went off I was expecting Freuler to come on and on comes Yates instead.

Can see Lingard dropping to the bench next game, might hurt his pride somewhat.

I thought we lost shape when Kouyate came on and the defensive line was in no man's land when Gray took a pass from his keeper, to equalise.

Did Mangala get an injury? Hamstring?

RE: Everton - Nottingham Forest - jurgen rober - 20-08-2022

Everton had hit the ball over the top quite a few times in the channels and we were struggling a bit for pace without Niakhate so am surprised after we took the lead that the back 3 didn't defend a bit deeper to cut out route 1 pass.

RE: Everton - Nottingham Forest - ac_vodka - 20-08-2022

Looked like hamstring but hopefully not a bad one as walked off and didn't seem in pain.
