In some ways thats true but they are always tenacious and hard working with no little quality in midfield.
An opponent with serious intentions should have the quality needed to overcome their tactics and with the right attitude will come away with a win. We didnt look like we had that quality last night, think our attitude was good but did look some way off our best.

They've beaten Boro, WBA, Bournemouth this season. As well as draws with Fulham, Huddersfield, Sheff Utd (despite an early red).

We're in good company not being able to beat them.

A point away at Preston is acceptable, even better if we get three on Saturday.

FWIW I thought we were decent for the first 35 minutes, a typical away performance, and we just needed that final ball to turn one point into three. Yes, we were on the back foot at times, what do people expect away from home at Deepdale.

We've made great strides and to be disappointed with a point speaks volumes.

Accept that a point away is ok but, at the same time it was disappointing because we were below par for 2 thirds of the match. I think this was down to 3 factors. Firstly we are a young side and therefore we are bound to dip in form at times. Second our passing mostly from the back was poor. Thirdly we found our prolific right side mostly covered by 3 or moe defenders thus virtually nullifying our threat from wide. Sadly we failed to offer a left side switch to stretch the Preston defence. I agree with others when they express surprise that Zincs wasn't introduced to correct this imbalance. We need to be smarter than we were or we risk our opposition copying this method. Pleased with Ethan Horvath who did well despite him giving me scares when he had possession on the ground.

Re Horvath, he had a fairly good game overall with his handling being pretty good. But his kicking still looks questionable. He never looks comfortable with the ball at his feet. He didn't make any errors but if I could see he was uncomfortable so will the opposition in the next two games.
