Defender put his foot across and tripped Johnson.

It was a poor challenge by the defender but Brennan definately 'went over'. Even though, its still a pen.

Have to say from my view behind the goal at the time I thought definite pen, looking at this Brennan was clearly trying to draw the foul. The defender catches the leg so it shouldn’t have been a yellow card but you could argue when he went down in the first half he could have seen yellow for that.

He was looking for it, but could see from the upper TE that there was contact, so it should have been a pen. Can only assume the latest terrible ref thought that he was looking for it aswell, so didn't give him it.

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, but how on earth did Garner get MOM over Spence, the best player on the pitch by a country mile??? Garner was poor in the first half, made a good sliding challenge after about an hour which seemed to liven him up, and then had a decent last 30 mins. Hopefully now much more to come from him.

Really enjoyed the game again, so nice to be saying that after some of the crap we have had to put up with recently.

It is a definite pen, he has not played the ball and made contact with Johnson. Who has gone down as you do not get a pen if you try to stay on your feet. Ridiculous decision anyone where the ref was in a good position to see the contact.

Yep, you dont get the pen if you dont go down. He went down easily but there was contact. It was a stupid lunge by the defender.

To expand further on Garner his outswinging set pieces simply do not work, the closest we came to scoring was the inswinger that was flicked on and went just past the far post, incredibly frustrating to watch and be so obvious but continue to persist with.

I should also mention Yates for their goal failing to track the runner, had that been Bong or Figs people would be burning effergies of them in the streets.

Terrible schoolboy stuff.

"Shit refs, We only get shit refs, We only get shit refs...." rang out for all 4 stands last night.
Got me thinking, why do we.
Is the refs changing room cold, no hangers, hard wooden chair?
Do we charge them for a cup of tea?
Do we give them a cold pie instead of a prawn sandwich?

Any ideas or am I overthinking it?

If we look at Brennan it could be that he has already gotten a reputation for diving. If you look at the 7 penalties he got at Lincoln you could argue that a few of them were diving. Not saying he dived but I understand if somebody would want to argue that.
