Megson II

You clearly didnt watch the Megson days then.

I did.

Trying the same things over and over again without success and refusing to budge.

I'm not voting.

I can see and appreciate both sides of the argument and at the moment I kind of agree with both sides of the argument too!

I would be happy to give him a bit longer IF, he starts to be more flexible in his formations, substitutions and tactics.

I can't hold him responsible for the injury crisis currently crippling our club though

Listening to him after last nights game he said he would not be changing formation.

I would genuinely be amazed if he became more flexible in his tactics or formations.

Should that be the case then I would be advocating giving him the season even if the results didn’t improve in the short term.

The reason Sabri ultimately had to go was his inability to think outside of his go to team / setup / tactics.

Who, again.  Has been given 1 (fit) outfield player.

Over the last two Summers, he hasn't signed any permanent signings.

I think, for a candidate of his quality, the treatment is shocking.  At least other managers managed to bring in some players.

It's another slow motion train wreck.  Self inflicted.

Out... out now. I can't believe he is still here TBH. All valid points about squad and signings but having them sir off and defend all the time

Bring back Joe kinnear

I like that team redreg except of the 16 you name 10 are either injured or not red's players. That leaves 6 by my reckoning to play against Stoke, we might need a ref on our side for once!

another consideration is if we had put out the side that played Blackburn at the end of last season and built around those sorts of players during pre season we would of been much further down the road in the sense of good preparations for this season

basically i think Hughton has been hung out like a kipper, like he should of been told what he had to work with, total lack of vision and foresight from above

at this moment in time the managers job here is a poisoned chalice

though i think Hughton is a dead man walking, this club needs to get its shit together towards the end of the previous campaign, this seasons preparation has been beyond diabolical, it's generally been poor with late deals but this season tops the lot, worse than fazza

i wanted Hughton gone but this club is poisonous and hasn't sorted itself out and i'm convinced a decent man once again has had to put up with alot of stuff including broken promises and assurances, hence the last 6 months totally wasted and as it seems now this season sacrificed

all i can do is laugh at the whole thing and i feel empathy for hard working staff and players, they have been let down

Until this club has some sort of common business sense, if only planning a few months ahead and aspires to some sort of decent integrity we do not deserve any of the really decent, often legends who sacrifice there waking hours for this club

If the ref from last night is anything to go by Cisco, you have more chance of winning the Euro Lottery roll over and having a romantic meal for two with The Duchess of Cambridge

So he could not play 433 or 442 with the players he has? He could even go 352. His stubbornness will not allow that. He needs to adapt as a coach.
