What I do want to read about, hear about and be told about is what is happening at NFFC... again positive or negative. What do we get from the club??? The point is EM and NR give us nothing. No news. No updates. No clue on to how the club is changing, adapting or learning from mistakes gone.
I have had enough of EM and the current lot. They have had 3.5 years and IMO are showing nothing of improvement on the pitch... yes ok there have been changes off the pitch but these don’t affect me. They may benefit the club long term but in the here and now we are in very real danger of relegation. On the pitch we are arguably as bad now as we were in fawaz last season. I wish he had sold us to the Americans. Christ they can’t even get a stand built... we have had a year without fans, an ideal time to build but nope... if it happens at all it will be when the fans are back impacting on the finances of the club with less people there.
I have had enough of CH too... his interviews are passionless. His tactics are dull and predictable to the point where we make average sides look like world beaters. I can only hope the rumours of a replacement are true. Yes stability is important... but a lot of fans (not all and not most) now can’t see anything other than relegation by sticking with CH.
Yeah agreed on CH, I've always said the most important thing to judge a manager on is his interviews. Is Ian Holloway available?
You know we're in a global recession/pandemic right? You might want to slightly realign what is achieveable and affordable right now.
Yeah, Holloway, no wouldn't want him, but come to think of it, he has also had two Promotions from Championship to Premier League, and I think guiding a team like Blackpool to EPL is far bigger achievement than say getting Newcastle promoted, and he did play decent football.
Hughton got Brighton promoted and kept them there.
Brighton were homeless not that long ago.

The recent move of the striker here and out again is more about making money under the guise of squad improvement.
In that sense Vrentzos wheeling and dealing is a good thing as long as it doesn't get in the way of the manager's 24 players of choice.
We brought that other keeper here and flipped him for a tidy profit.

Agreed. It's good business with the caveat that it doesn't interfere with eg Hughton's main squad building.
Just like shirt sponsors it is the trafficking of players for eg a couple of million over two or three of these can add to Forests bottom line.

It's good to have a sister club to help with exchange of players to help over.
Not only that. You can look at Oly now with its stadium and facilities to see where Forest could be with promotion.
I wonder what the total per season or over the last three years has been on the Oly help..? Anybody got the figures?
If we got £2-3 million for Soudani then it's over £5 million at least. Didn't we get £1.5 million for that Greek keeper? It all adds up.

I mean, it makes no sense. We signed him for 3m Euros according to the NEP, so £2.65m
So why would a season later, after being out injured for most of it, his value INCREASE to 3.5m?
Did Darikwa go for 3m to Wigan after we paid 2m for him? No, he went for nothing. No players value increases by being out the team injured.

You don't have to sell at exactly market rate, teams pay over the odds for players all the time. Particularly if the buyer also has a vested interest in the sale.
Anyway, Soudani was a great player, gutted we sold him (in case there are any FFP police reading this) :D
