RE: What Is The Clubs Transfer Strategy - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 02-02-2021 Back digging up the past again. Soudani has already been bombed out at Olympiakos and Silva I think has started 2 games. We made good money on both of them. I never mentioned cash, you're right though it's not operating cash but whichever way you dress it up the 35m loss has to be funded in some way. For the record its predominantly wages and transfer fee amortisation (which in most cases will actually already have been paid) so they've already contributed in that case. You are right though, an increase of 8m on wages but a decrease of 10 places doesn't make great reading! Also, should be noted these were the accounts for the year before last so likely to have seen a further increase. I think we're all painfully aware that we are underachieving this season and should really be somewhere near midtable. I think there are some mitigating factors which do tend to get overlooked ie the loss of the majority of our best players from last season and the fact that statistically (at least in the first half of the season) we missed a lot of chances which could be argued as unlucky. RE: What Is The Clubs Transfer Strategy - Strawberry Avenger - 02-02-2021 Danny Preston was recalled by Forest from Grimsby. 29 appearances. 1st consideration with Ribiero sidelined? SA. Don’t think he was recalled, pretty sure Grimsby cut short the loan. If they were made against him whilst at NFFC then I would want to know about it and read the reports whether they positive or negative. I just don’t care about what’s happened in greece.... unless it’s offloading another unwanted player on to us. Yeah, Holloway, no wouldn't want him, but come to think of it, he has also had two Promotions from Championship to Premier League, and I think guiding a team like Blackpool to EPL is far bigger achievement than say getting Newcastle promoted, and he did play decent football. RE: What Is The Clubs Transfer Strategy - Mad Squad - 02-02-2021 It's not connected with our first team Danny Preston is not ready and he is not going to play. RE: What Is The Clubs Transfer Strategy - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 02-02-2021 Can't believe that some think that EM would move a player from Forest to Olympiakos without making a tidy profit. Olympiakos don't need the money they have Champions League football every season, it's us who needs the money stuck in The Championship. It certainly makes rational sense for him to do this, given it's just moving money around his accounts. |
