It's mad that on 42 points we're not actually safe yet. But the chances of West Ham getting seven more points and Spurs getting six have to be pretty slim.

West ham could but with arsenal, Newcastle and Leeds to play, it's difficult to see more than 4 points. More likely spurs could but I'm a bit fed up with how the media is portraying de zerbi. They scrapped past wolves and then beat a villa reserve team that genuinely couldn't have tried less. I can't see Leeds and Everton being so tame. Chelsea on the other hand

And us getting none.

Pretty slim but doable by both sides. We're not up against a Luton type side this year. These two teams are formidable. West Ham are semi decent now under Nuno. They could easily get a result v Arsenal next week.

Not really, you are comparing to and end of season tally and there are still 9 points to play for. Could be that 40 is enough.

True. But there's also a set of circumstances in which Leeds or Palace could still go down on 43!

That Man City draw gives Arsenal the upper hand, and the West Ham game is a decent chance to cement that. West Ham need at least a point there to stand a chance of catching us.

I genuinely never expected West Ham and Spurs to pick up as many points as they have.

It must surely be some kind of record between the three of us.
