RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Paplane - 26-12-2021 From a Daniel Taylor tweet: showed what we probably already knew: a few key players missing and #NFFC can still look short. An interesting January ahead … One little snippet/pick-me-up: Max Lowe doing well in rehab and Forest medics hope he might be back v Barnsley on Jan 3, well ahead of schedule. RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Paplane - 27-12-2021 Cooper said yesterday that Lolley has suffered reoccurance of a tendon injury. Is that the injury that kept him out for so long last season? If it is I fear it may be curtains for his season. Will we ever see the old Lolley again? Pray footballing gods, let it be so. SA. RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Strawberry Avenger - 28-12-2021 (26-12-2021, 09:32 PM)Paplane Wrote: From a Daniel Taylor tweet: True this. But in Jan'. Can Lowe be recalled? Will Spence? The attacking architects of Forest's incredible run could vanish. Cooper has said that Forest are prepared for this eventuality. Even if we keep them, we have seen that we don't have the depth to cover them adequately. Ideally, we keep them, jettison Jenks, Bong and bring in Buch' and AN Other for more depth. They are fundamental (?) to the way Cooper plays to create the overload for BJ, Grabban and Zinc Man to blossom. SA. I think Lolley said it was some kind of unique condition that impaired his running ability? People thought it was shin splints but it wasn't? We've seen glimmers of the Lolley that 'can be' this season under Cooper. We need him for the competition and depth he provides to the forward line. He has quality but also appears to be a confidence player. But I'd love him to get fit and bang a goal in from 20 yards or so. He'll be back. SA. RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Alf Garnett - 28-12-2021 Unfortunately I don't think Lolley will ever be back to the level he was at 2 or 3 years ago. RE: Injuries And Suspensions - JollyLolly - 28-12-2021 Alf, I think you have sussed me, I am well and truly f****d RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Strawberry Avenger - 28-12-2021 (28-12-2021, 01:16 PM)Alf Garnett Wrote: Unfortunately I don't think Lolley will ever be back to the level he was at 2 or 3 years ago. It's not looking like it. He's battling the ravages of time and his body. (When Lolley is on the pitch, I'm willing him to just take the ball and bang one in.) Though Grabban has managed a renaissance at 34. SA. I'm starting to think Lolley may have longer term effects from Covid, which I think he caught a couple of months ago RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Derby My Arse - 29-12-2021 Possibly Tricky it crossed my mind too. Yep I think that one needs to be addressed in the summer. Some good players becoming available in the likes of Swift and Wallace. I see from Danny Taylor’s recent article, we are now working to an 18k a week wage cap. |
