Can we just close and delete this f*****g thread and move on

RE: Ange - ozzyten10 - 18-10-2025

Made me chuckle that Murillo liked the sacking post!

He needs to go this weekend. We'll go down if we stick with him.

Rotten luck?
He was no good in the league with Spurs either.
I've no idea how he won the Europa Cup.
This is not just 7 or 8 games, it is over 50 now.

Ange was never the right appointment and the responsibility needs to sit at the big man's door. But, he has taken action and doesn't seem to dwell on mistakes. He'll do the same again if he has to.
I think we need a manager to bring the dressing room together and foster the off-field conditions- let them know they can/will win.

RE: Ange - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-10-2025

Before we go, where does he rank?

Megson
Platt
Mcleish
Hughton
Ange

Im actually tempted to say worst of the lot. At least 3 of the above had some dignity and humility.

You've not even included Mclaren.

Think Mcleish is worst though.

RE: Ange - wassy04 - 18-10-2025

Ange was clearly a terrible choice and made some odd choices after the first few games. However, by sacking him we've set a pretty dangerous precedent. What happens if the next guy does the same? Particularly if its someone the fans don't want again which is everyone I've seen so far pretty much. Think maybe people could get behind Dyche but thats about it.

Thats why Im a bit worried about someone like Mancini. Superb pedigree if most was earned some years ago but no obvious connection to the club and can come across as a bit aloof.
We need a character to galvanise a disjointed squad and fanbase that has rapidly become disillusioned. Not an easy job.

There's really only one option that would galvanise fans and players completely. Bring back Cooper!

Platt financially ruined us (or was allowed to)

RE: Ange - JohnG - 18-10-2025

Ange is a totally different scenario to those. But Megson is still the worst
