Most of the time looks like he would prefer to be somewhere else. Played 90 mins for consecutive games too. Fitness will be the key for him. He certainly looks a lot more positive and confident in recent games. RE: Current Players Thread - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-02-2024 Yes very good going forward and those flashes of quality being seen far more often. Sorry for being miserable but the downside is his defensive work is poor and he couldn’t tackle a wet paer bag. Not the end of the world but he did leave us exposed down the left on occasion. Overall very good yesterday though, just think there may be games we are better with some one more solid. RE: Current Players Thread - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-02-2024 For me Sangare doesn't walk back into the side next week. Thought the Danilo and Dominguez duo was excellent and they deserve to keep their places. It was clear from fairly early on but Dominguez has stepped up to the PL superbly. I guess from Dominguez and Sangare we wanted a top defensive midfielder and we have one.... RE: Current Players Thread - Paplane - 18-02-2024 CHO is probably only just now coming to terms with the fact that he's lost his pace. He's been excellent for us and even without blistering pace, he's proving to be an excellent premier league player. RE: Current Players Thread - ozzyten10 - 18-02-2024 I think getting a kick on his calf actually has done him the world of good. Also I think he is deceptively quick - not got that explosive burst but glides. Classy player. Should have had at least 2 assists too yesterday. Yep he has his confidence back after that horrific challenge on him the other week. Neco has been brilliant last few weeks, He was very lucky he didn’t get a serious injury yesterday with that stamp on his ankle. RE: Current Players Thread - optimistic_red - 19-02-2024 Neco played amazing on Saturday, both defending and attacking. Hopefully the narrative around him "not being able to play in a back four" or "can't defend" or "only good going forward", will now be forgotten. It will until we lose a game & then they'll all be shit again. Can bet the same person will be saying they are all Championship standard if we lose next week. Our fan base at times really is unbearable, balanced is certainly not a word that can be described with some of our lot. RE: Current Players Thread - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 19-02-2024 Neco was indeed excellent and showed incredible energy levels too. |
