Never seen again after 'that' red card.
We've got very little evidence that he would be 'decent.'
After some initial promise (one game?) He was 'so-so.'
He's been exiled.
Cooper may well want a look at him.
From the Summer, it seems Forest had other LB targets lined up rather than a return of Ion'.

Keep part of my statement was a back up option, would you prefer Ion at wing back to Bong? Or playing colback out of position?
As a wing back I saw enough in the games he played to suggest he would be a decent back up option and he is already our player. It will be hard to get to of the quality of Lowe with one sitting on the bench the majority of the time.

The issue with Ioannou is less how good he is, more who fell out with who. If it was Hughton or Vrentzos that didnt like him (which is fair enough if they thought his attitude was wrong) then he may have a chance of a clean slate. If it was the player himself who decided he didnt want to be here then there is no point in recalling him.

The internal politics of the club are just that. He must have upset someone.
He cleaned out/booted someone to get sent off and that was him done. Then exiled.
The club sought other options at LB in the Summer rather than bring him back.
He performed well for what seemed like a game and a half. Very little evidence to suggest he's decent. Especially if he can't stay on the pitch.
It doesn't sound like he's pulled up any trees on loan either. We've heard little in the way of rave reviews.
He, like Car', is just another player who perhaps flattered to deceive and in this division you'll get found out if you're found wanting.
He seemed robust and to have pace. But those inside Forest will know more of his attitude. And if you're going out on loan as a senior pro', it tells its own tale.
I'd be happy to give young Richardson a go. With Lolley in front of him...putting Brennan on the right side of the 3.
Forest are going to have to do better in January than they did in the Summer.

The loanee has been back with his parent-club @Arsenal while he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Extreme pace and we would probably got back to the tried and tested 343. Hopefully his body holds up this time.

Being injured must be so frustrating for any player.
If he can buy Forest some time over the December period to get Lowe up and running again we could have both competing for the LB spot.
