Also not seen Marco Silva mentioned yet but he is out of work and another EM favourite.

How is it that under Sabri usually when one of our players gets the ball he is surrounded by 3 or so of the opposition. Then when we lose it (most often) they are able to pass it one of their own who has space to move and has options. Now we've got better players than the opposition I can't figure out why our collective play is so stifled that we have to pass sideways or back to keep the ball. This is so basic but it has to change otherwise our humiliation will continue. I think that only a change to the head coach will change our formation, style and results.

Yes. He will definitely be in the mix.

:D You are taking the piss there Pap aren't you?

No. He talks a lot of sense when he co commentates on sky. Knows the league inside out.

Would love big Mick, his interviews would be entertaining. He's proven, kept Ipswich competitive despite having no budget at all.

Would have thought he is run away favourite to be honest. Whether he is what we need I am not convinced. Im sure discussions will already have been had.

Would be good but surely no chance with wages

Continued failure at every job since olympiacos, massive no from me. Although at least he has some English football experience

In fairness to him he took over Hull when they were already doomed, they were nowhere near strong enough for the Premier League, he only had 20 odd games and still managed to keep them up until the last game of the season, was going ok at Watford until it got ugly with the Everton poaching him and their form dropped off a cliff until he was sacked. Then at Everton his win rate was 40% over 60 odd games. All those sides played good football under him.

Biggest issue I saw with him was his sides not being able to defend set pieces, think that cost him his job at Everton, however that's something fixable with a good set piece/ defensive coach.

Silva hasnt been a failure, just a bit meh and never stayed in a job in England long enough to prove one way or the other, not that statistic has the remotest chance of changing here.

He briefly did well at Watford, his Everton team played nicer football than they did under Fat Sam which isnt saying much but ultimately results didn’t improve. Knows English football but not the Championship. Could do worse than him but not convinced he is a promotion winner either

He got a lot of time at Everton and never looked like putting together a good team. Started well at Watford and Hull agreed but faded badly. Could've learned I suppose but no evidence of any success.

David Wagner has just been sacked by Schalke. Wouldn't be surprised if his name gets added to the shortlist

That would be a good appointment, although can't say I've followed his career since Huddersfield
