RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Tricky - 24-09-2020 Samba Christie McKenna Blackett Ribero Colback Arter Freeman Ameobi Taylor Grabban 4-2-3-1 which can revert simply to a 4-4-2. I have been a critic of Grabban for a few weeks now (from before the end of last season), but I want to see what he can do with Taylor more or less alongside of him. Grabs has had his work cut out playing as a lone striker and having to constantly chase long diagonal balls hoofed up to him. This could have had a detrimental affect on his performances and of course his confidence. I have included Ribs, as he and Ameobi do have a good understanding on the left, even if he does sometimes get caught out of position occasionally. RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Username - 24-09-2020 I like that team Tricky, I wouldn’t be disappointed to see it start tomorrow RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - ThePromisedLand - 24-09-2020 Would hope - if McKenna plays - he’s not asked to play out of position on the right. RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Fumanchew - 24-09-2020 I bet this has nothing to do with tomorrow’s game but if it has! :D If Worrall is injured I’d have Blackett and McKenna at the back, he knows what to do stick him in! Samba Christie Blackett McKenna Riberio Colback Arter Mighten Freeman Ameobi Grabban (or Taylor if sabris being risky) RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Percyflage - 25-09-2020 Anyone's guess but for a game that demands a balance of caution (must not lose) and risk (has to win) and also allowing for fitness, form and familiarity the following to me looks like it could do the job. Four six footers at the back. Yates to cover Figs and the space Christie might leave. Blackett and Arter to do similar for Mighten and Freeman. Ameobi and Freeman to swap positions while one carries the ball inside, Mighten running inside from the right while Taylor occupies the central defenders and Arter wins second balls and poses a danger from range. Samba Figureido McKenna Christie Yates Blackett Arter Ameobi Freeman Mighten Taylor RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 25-09-2020 If worrall is injured I would go with Dawson and McKenna at CB and Blackett left back. Give Figs a break from the action for a bit. He's been a good signing and he hasn't just become a bad player overnight but his confidence is shot at the minute. RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - GaribaldiRED - 25-09-2020 If memory serves me right he had a slow start last season as well. He seems to need a few games to get going and maybe build some confidence. Not a bad player but he seems to have these lapses of concentration. RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Redreg - 25-09-2020 Does everyone keep forgetting we have a player who was on the bench in champions league Semi final and played next to tiago silva in ligue 1 french u20 captain who has now been with us for 2 weeks get the lad in there . Whole new back 4 for me cant keep making the same mistakes ribs gets targeted at lb fig’s gets bullied and don’t get me started on jenko . Christie Soh mckenna Blackett . Other teams are chucking new signings in , i don’t believe in this bedding in rubbish if they are good footballers and can defend put them in . Same with Arter the lad has played over 100 PL games won promotion twice straight in team for me . Agree on Figs and Dawson makes sense except he'd be marking Karlan Grant, who'd roast him on the turn. Soh is the wildcard but I don't think Sabri will gamble with a completely brand new defence given what's riding on the game. The subs we can put out shows the stunning depth we now have: Smith, Ribeiro, Soh, Colback/Sow, Carvalho/Silva, Lolley, Grabban/Guerrero RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - stirred - 25-09-2020 (25-09-2020, 08:39 AM)Percyflage Wrote:(25-09-2020, 06:39 AM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: If worrall is injured I would go with Dawson and McKenna at CB and Blackett left back. Grant won’t be playing, he’s out of the squad while they sort out a move for him. Good shout but I cant see Figs being dropped if Worrall's out too. McKenna / Figs is what I think will happen with Blacket at LB. Figs has been directly responsible for 3 of the 4 goals we have conceded in the league. I believe he should be rested. |
