They make the pitch so big lads are running but it’s so hard to get close. With so many of our players out it’s caught up with us today.

Whole team half asleep again

Midfield have been poor all game. All three goals could have been prevented if the midfielders were better at closing down. Admittedly the Saka goal was a good bit of skill, but Ward-Prowse could have done more. Disappointed that we haven’t played better after we were outplayed in the last game against Newcastle

Sterling just the assist then..

Not a great performance but we are not the first and sure won't be the last to have arsenal put 3 past us and according to mers the best they have played all season.
Put it behind us and make sure we beat Ipswich in the next game.

Why did Nuno put Yates further up the pitch playing as the number 10. He should have been on Odegaard all match. The midfield wasn't balanced at all and never got in the game and with no number 10 to link the play we look all out of sorts.

RE: Arsenal - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 23-11-2024

Only listened on radio but it was obvious we were battered start to finish.
Match stats 33% possession and no shots on target
I have no problem losing to a better team but nowadays I expect us to compete.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say we should be doing far better than we have today with or without some absentees.

I am starting to worry we’re a 1 trick pony and for some reason awoniyi can’t play in that system.

I saw earlier on that Yates playing where he was wasn’t working and if he wanted a false 10 so to speak he should have started jota instead

The table shows were regressing to the mean I guess and that were probably comfortably a mid table side

We were so off it today. Allowed Arsenal to make the pitch big and played around us easily. Injuries didn’t help but some of the decisions in setting up the midfield was poor. CHO second half played OK but we were so far off it today. Their third goal annoyed me- all caught out by a quick free kick and not on it- typified our performance.

Manager of the month curse continues..

Gone from doing well against Liverpool and Chelsea. To struggling against toon and arsenal.

Tough run up to the window reopening. We're crying out for a striker. A other back up creative midfielder, maybe another wingback as Aina is hot and cold, more cold atm

If we're a 1 trick pony and can only play 1 tactic then stick with it and just change instructions if and when it's needed.

The table shows we've gone down 2 spots because of Spurs winning at Shitty so how does that show we're regressing? We're only 12 games in so just wait till the end of the season then see where we are and if it's mid table then that's still an improvement from the last couple of seasons.

RE: Arsenal - Nottingham Forest - ozzyten10 - 23-11-2024

We will need big improvements - really need some creativity in midfield. Playing Yates as a 10 was suicidal.
