As much as it pains me to say it, I agree Plymouth. CH has to demonstrate tomorrow that he can set a team up to go out and win a home game in a confident manner (and then do the same on Wednesday). Its a tough opponent in Cardiff so bad luck for CH but i think we're at a crossroads now. Though, I suspect Hughton won't be going down without a fight.  Say what we will about the glacial sabotage of the recruitment 'afforded' to Chris for the 1st four games.  The team still competed for him.  Only narrowly losing to to soft goals donated to the opposition by Samba.  Against teams that had spent more, recruited better and been together longer.  No less.

This is his 1st team.  I think he should get his 'ten games' and see where we are.  We're not going to be top 6.  We'll do well to hit mid-table (if the players perform.)

A couple of wins would change the complexion somewhat.  

It doesn't look good because if Forest win they stay in the bottom 3?  But another win could take them beyond that to mid-table. 

But he does need those wins despite the tide of mitigation.  If I were Dane, I'd back Hughton for ten.

However, I is not he.

We'll find out tomorrow SA if he's able to get any fight out of the players  I reckon our 2nd half improvement at the dip could well have been as much to do with Forest fan Worrall not wanting to go out with a whimper against our fierce rivals as much as any influence CH had.

Id love us to go on a mini run and look back at this game as our Fergie game.

Well jury's out until some of the new players play granted, but I still disagree about it being the manager's fault more than the squad. 

If it was mostly the manager's fault, why didn't Lamouchi get a tune out of a very similar one start of last year? 

I'm not absolving CH of his approach, I actually thought that staying with a defensive approach was the wrong choice when Lamouchi went. To me we should have taken that opportunity to evolve. But even so, I think it'd take a particular type of manager to get much out of this squad if the new players are of a similar level. Namely a Billy Davies type who's setup negates player weaknesses, and who's man-management squeezes every last drop from them.

I want to see what Hughton does now he's a few extra bodies and Worrall back. I'm not against him going, Lord knows it's a dire watch/listen (I'm not at games this year due to poor health) but I don't want us to just sack him for the sake of it and have a Paul Williams situation either.

Just out of interest, why not?

OK he doesn’t strike me as a particularly lovely bloke off the pitch but he was an undoubted leader on it. I think he is far more likely to go on to be a successful manager than Lampard for example, Im sure he will be a success somewhere.
The downside is that he would be untried and the circus of John Terry’s NFFC that would go with it but a purely objective head on I dont think its such a bad idea.

Last years squad was more than good enough the recruitment was poor in hindsight only, you cannot say we did not have talented players we did and the fact we struggle to create and score chances is not down to the talent available it's down to the set-up, born out by the sheer amount of attack-minded players who are underperforming, Taylor Grabban Lolley Ameobi Knocks Freeman Carv's and for that matter Yates who has plenty to offer in the opposition box all of them nowhere near there potential performance levels 

Time to start playing with intent and a little bit of freedom as is its bloody tedious and monotonous crap week after week, I've nothing against CH but if he persists in the same old S**t different day then it's hard to have much sympathy for him

You'd employ Wilder in a heartbeat surely
