He did genuinely look really good that first year, I wonder whether he just didn't have the mentality to be a success at the top level.
Either way, up there with one of our worst ever signings when you consider the cost, and the % of the budget that it used up.

Still maintain that that clogger from Alfreton played a big part and ruined his career. Lost his preseason, lost his fitness, lost his place, lost his confidence.
Luxury player- though he did work hard- so needed everything else to go in his favour.
£13 million? Pah, just loose change now....
