RE: Opposition Fans Comments - PsychoStanleyStone - 19-07-2020 Today we gonna do to Barnsley what Scargill did to British Communism specifically the Yorkshire NUM but for a complete fulfillment we gonna need the most hideous own goal ever, over to the Mucky Woolley's RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Joe Baker Legend - 20-07-2020 Barnsley v Reds match comments..... C'mon lads one last push and let's at least take it to the final game on Wednesday evening . We've a slim chance even with a win this afternoon but it's a chance none the less . Final game nerves kicking in , teams changing places in the league table by the minute and who knows what could happen . Let's at least make ourselves part of it even if we eventually we fall short . Let's not end the season this afternoon , that's all I ask . Getting a bit of a drubbing this afternoon and the season ending is not what I want to see . Let's have some pride , the old battling Barnsley spirit and gives us something to cling to on Wednesday night . It could be a goal glut today , just ev to relax and geeit a go , like wiv sed nowt to loyis , what times KO ? Just need the win, don't care how they do it. Knob end winner int 92nd minute ul do me. Then again, that's my heart and pride talking. One thing that struck me before the Leeds game was- does it actually matter if we stop up? Even if we pull off the miracle it'll be the usual fire sale in pre season ennyrooard, ivrybuggaz spirit crushed and another season of struggle. That line up is ok if we were away but for fks sake we're at home and should be firing with both barrels straight from ko on your plate be it strubydoo As usual the chances are falling to Brown and he’s again useless! Ritzmier and Chaplin seem obsessed with passing to a blue shirt! There’s a star man playing on the right his name is Jacob Brown and he’s absolutely Sh1te......... We've made Forest look bang average but the problem is we need 8-10 chances if not more before we score. If we present Forest with one decent goal scoring opportunity in the second half it is likely to end up in the back of the net. We are simply awful in front of goal. Forest player meanders off pitch for substitution and not one redd player complains. Ses it all for me I’ve turned it off. Get in!! You Reds. Well well look who scored. Forest sat back and eventually, given enough chances we got the win we deserved! Thoroughly enjoyable and thoroughly deserved. FT 1-0 Deserved that. Immensely proud of this young group who have fought like tigers to keep themselves alive in this relegation fight . They got their reward in the 94th minute and it was richly deserved . My neighbours must think I'm off my feckin head , finished up in the garden when Schmidt scored , running round screaming my head off . I said when the season re-started I'd be happy to be still alive going in to the final game and they have delivered on that so fair play to the HC , his staff and a very likable young group of lads despite their obvious frailties . You've made an old Tyke really happy tonight . Schmidt that up yor Arr soyles Florists , reyt Laiker arr Pat ! Arr menny points ez he wunnuz ? It shows the limits of our ambition Animal when we are delighted to be going into the last game to avoid relegation. Enjoy the hope this evening. It'll kill you on Wednesday. Knob end in 92nd minute a sed would do me. Dunt know if it worra knob end but feck me al settle fo that! Well done boys, massive now on Wednesday neet Nearly had a heart attack screaming at Brown! One where he should throw himself at the ball to score but had the heart of a pea, one where he couldn’t control the ball when in on the keeper and one where he could have squared to set up Styles! And numerous miss placed passes however he did get the header to set up the goal. we live to fight on but Brown and Ritzmier need to be sat on the bench! Tharra reyt killjoy , wiv wun , enjoy thissen , mite bi a long time afoor we do win ageeun ! That Schmidt reminds mi on Gerd Muller ! Goldun Booit Award next seerson thee watch , like Schmidt offa shuvvel this lad Good win yesterday. It won't matter what we do on Wednesday because Luton will beat Blackburn RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Joe Baker Legend - 20-07-2020 Reds v Stoke Pre Match Comments.... Didn't realise how poor their form is, same starting 11 for us and lets go and put at least 3 past them Seconded! Although it really doesn't matter now except for my local bragging rights. This is the one I thought we'd win tbh, mainly because Forest are f*****g awful. What does that say for us? Their league position is much better. We're shit, obviously I reckon it will be a draw. Our lads will be knackered after what they put in on Saturday. Look out for a few changes in our team. The last thing Michael O'Neil will want to do is to come out of the game with any of his midfielders suffering from long-term injuries, which can come about because players' legs are tired. It matters a lot. We are in the middle of an unbeaten run - we haven't been that very often in recent years. Win one more and we have quite a momentum to carry into the new season, where we have the unbeaten run to protect. Obviously no one knows the early fixtures yet, but with a bit of luck in that regard, we could carry that on for a decent sequence. If we do, we are then already well on our way towards a successful season. Give Diouf a final run out in the red & white. Incredible to think that if we win, we’ll better last seasons points total. Unthinkable 8 months ago. This should be motivation for us to go out and try to beat them. It’s been a crap season. Let’s limp over the line and have a good rest. That's the spirit! The home game seems like only yesterday. Weren’t we leading then went 3-1 down and lost by the odd goal in the end. This was then followed by the Huddersfield home defeat. This period was my low point for the season and I genuinely thought we were screwed. Praise be to MON Over the last 29 games, we have now collected more points than Forest. It says that we were most definitely shit under Jones, but we’re we’re not as shit now They played a day later than us so I hope they're even tireder than us Can't see them blowing their chances of getting in the playoffs, and I don't really hate them, but it would be funny to somehow help them c**k it up...although I'd prefer Cardiff to sign something guaranteeing they will mess up the actual playoff games too. O'Neil may rest one or two but he's got an eye on next season already and has said he sees these games as part of our preseason preparation. Forest are on a bad run and are there for the taking and having beaten Brentford I think O'Neill will be looking to get the team believing they should be the ones up there next season. Winning is a habit. I agree. Clucas and Powell shouldn't play. They've both been carrying knocks so absolutely crackers to risk a long term injury He’s already said that he won’t be changing the team much in a post match interview so I wouldn’t expect hardly any changes mesen He may rest Clucas and Powell given they were doubts on Saturday mate No point in risking anybody with the new season only around 6 weeks away It is important to try and end the season on a high to promote a good atmosphere and do everything possible to convince potential signings and some of our expensive loaned players that the club is on the up and going places. Same winning team for me, fitness permitting First pre-season game for next year. Forest are f*****g garbage. Given Forest still haven't 100% secured their play off place (piss poor from them given the points they had on the return) would expect a strong line up from Stoke It would take a 6 goal turn around (and Cardiff not to lose) for Forest to miss out...and I know a lad in Notts who would just LOVE that to happen Can't see it myself, but would still like a comfortable Stoke win, which is also unlikely..but we can but hope I don't know about anyone else, but I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening in front of the TV for the first time in ages! Feet up, and not an ounce of an eff will be given! You were a physical wreck until 2:30 Saturday I'd love to smash Forest out of the play-offs. They rested five players against Charlton because they were playing West Brom in the next game. They lost that Charlton game, meaning that we went fourth bottom. I remember thinking then, that I hoped they needed something in that last game of the season Only just realised. It’s actually possible that if by some miracle we were to win this by 2 or 3 goals and Cardiff and Swansea win by similar scores, they could both overtake Forest and be in the play offs and Forest could miss out ! So I’m happy to lose this one. Even if I am writing this post from my caravan home in Wales. f**k em Win this by 2 goals, and Middlesbrough win by 2 goals to fend off relegation, and we can even leapfrog Sheffield Wednesday into 16th!!! RE: Opposition Fans Comments - ozzyten10 - 20-07-2020 Pin it up on the dressing room wall. I hate Stoke almost as much as Leeds RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Username - 21-07-2020 Over the last 29 games, we have now collected more points than Forest. Wow, hadn’t realised that. RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Joe Baker Legend - 10-09-2020 Season 2020-21 First Game QPR v Reds Pre match comments.... BOS may go Palace if they decide to sell Zaha , hope he stays but doubt it, i fear for us saturday our squad doesn't look too strong, Can’t see where enough goals are going to come from, Lumley due to start in net - so that’s a -2 start straightaway! Defence seems as porous as last season, lack of creativity in Mid field...sorry but I can only see one outcome here So you think we gonna Win then To be fair to Lumley I dont think it matters too much which of our keepers is in goal ,our open tactics and not so good defence almost guarantees a -2 handicap. Question is do we have a +2 attack as we often had last season? Forest will be pushing for play offs again this season, certainly a top half team . I'd like to predict we will win at home to them on saturday but if you offered me a point now I'd happily take it . we might get a player to 2 in before game so I will wait to make score prediction . It’s Thursday afternoon. The club have no intention of getting anyone in before the Forest game. If they did, they’d have been signed by now to bed them into the squad, train with current squad and go through team tactics for the game. We are stuck with what we have boys and girls We are leaving it late to get a striker in for Saturday, got until midday tomorrow 12 teams finished above us (if you include the relegated sides). Most of those have not depleted their squads the way QPR have done. Of those that finished below many have strengthened not weakened. Perhaps you should take that into account. At this rate QPR are without doubt a bottom 8 side. I doubt that can be dressed up with any credibility. Unless of course Thomas is a wonder kid that somehow Leicester did not notice, Dickie is another top defender in the making and Dykes will smash up this league like Mitrovic or Watkins. 2-2 Dykes, Manning. hope we go with dykes and smyth , please god not oteh Given that Eze didn’t miss a game last season, we will soon see how we get on without him. Arguably, our starting 11 on Saturday versus the team we had v WBA will be better. We didn’t have a striker, no Grant Hall, could only have 5 subs and we still managed to draw 2-2 ...... The loss of Eze is my biggest concern , he is irreplaceable, made us tick . Well the Forest forums think they are going to win 3,4,5 - 0. But any club that is run by a Manager whose name sounds like a cheap supermarket wine or a baddie from a cheap novel doesn't deserve a thing. 2-1 to the good guys. I'm going for a draw but a high scoring one. Head to head QPR wins: 17 Draws: 22 Nottingham Forest wins: 32 RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Joe Baker Legend - 22-09-2020 Huddersfield v Forest pre match comments.... Town’s first Championship away match of the season, was the first game at Brentford’s new stadium, on Saturday, 19 September. The 3-0 reverse was the third loss in the three competitive games we have played thus far. There can be no complaints about the score-line. Indeed, we should have been 2-0 down at the break, rather than going in goalless. Despite 57% possession, the closest we came to scoring was when Jaden Brown's header clipped the post with the score at 1-0. If we aspire to safety the total lack of a goal scoring threat has to be fixed, and rapidly. Either Karlan Grant must be shipped out, promptly, and replaced or he should return to the team. On Friday, 25 September, K.O. 19:45 we continue our Championship campaign, this time at home to Nottingham Forest. This game will be live on Sky Sports so it will not be purchasable on iFollow but will be available to Season Card holders who have renewed for 2020-21. We meet the East Midlands outfit frequently, and since 2012, we have played the Tricky Trees at home seven times with a 3-2-2 record in all competitions, wining on our last two home encounters and unbeaten in the last four. We last played them in Huddersfield, on 21 December 2019, when we won 2-1 in the Championship with goals, either side of half-time by Chris Schindler and Steve Mounié. This was a fractious match with confrontations between players and staff at the end of both halves. Forest finished last season in 7th, missing out on the Play-offs only by goal difference. However, they have also had a poor start to this season, getting eliminated from the Carabao Cup at Barnsley and then at QPR, and at home to Cardiff City last Saturday, losing both league games by a 2-0 score-line. This is not going to be an easy game but I think that we might secure our first point with a draw. 3-0 town. Diakhaby hat trick on the cards. I can only hope that O’Brien Eiting and Ward start. Play Sarr too and we might have a chance. Odds on that it will be 0-0 at half time and we lose after a couple of late goals. Imagine the change of mood around here and the club if we can actually win and play well. If we can't field a striker we might aswell write this game off as well. Loss again - get the poll up for the Rotherham game and I’ll give you the result for that as well Hopefully Eigting can give us some much needed quality and creativity in midfield instead of the misfiring Pritchard, hopefully O'Brien will be back to add some steel too. I still think Forest will win though. Thankfully they are going just as bad. No wins or goals this year. Last 8, 6 losses 5 of those to nil and three draws. They are struggling to find the back of the net too. Be more of same I think performance wise just hopefully the start forest have had continues and we can scrape a draw. Be surprised if eiting is thrown straight in given his injury history think will need time to adjust to training intensity although very aware we need someone who realises you can turn round and go forward in that position. Would have said the same for sarr also and maybe still the case with chrichlow or Edmonds green getting there nod if Edmonds green be now fully up to speed after injury(think that’s the only reason chrichlow made the bench in front of him)possibly bench for sarr even if Schindler out which been hamstring injury probably will be. Can’t see ward been fit but can see campbell starting(was said could only manage 45 mins this week) Be nice if o brien was back but if he is can only see making the bench again due to not been quite ready as don’t think he’s even trained yet. I believe grant is back training with the squad but can’t see him been involved until the window is shut. All in all like said at top think be very similar performance wise,a difficult watch and sad as it is be happy with a point. Forest are yet to win a league game. Guess when they break their duck? 0-0 I think Town might just grind out a draw, just maybe. Both teams to cancel each other out, with the drinks breaks being the highlight of the game. Still 1 point on the board. This is more in hope than expectation. I'm going for a Town win for first time,2 teams with poor starts. Were at home let's put in a performance and win. We can get a draw in this one. A nil-nil obviously, but I fancy us to pick up our first point in this one. Nil nil is the best we can get. My Uncle pissed himself when I said they'd probably be facing Diakhaby. Striking fear into absolutely f*cking nobody Hahaha brilliant. If Campbell fit maybe chance diakhaby sits out with koroma one side and mbenza other? Forest are in total disarray. An absolute must that we to take advantage of their lack of form and confidence to kick start our season. I suspect they'll be thinking exactly the same thing - especially when they see Diakhaby starting. Ha, I know, a battle of will from two weakling outfits. 6 losses and 3 draws in their last 8 Diakarby nailed on to score then This game is a strange one really, both as bad as each other currently, no points & no goals scored. However, if a football fan could pick any team to play against to end a shocking run, who do you think they'd pick? (Assuming Bradford City were unavailable due to Covid restrictions) Diakhaby. You taking the piss. On Saturday my iFollow used Brentford commentary and they never stopped talking about how bad, uninterested and disgraceful he was. We need to sack him. Just simply sack him Utter joke of a player Lose 5 .0 Didn’t expect anything other than zero from the first two but this one? Maybe but we still have the same problem, who is going to score the goals for us? How many championship clubs would play the first 3 games of the season without a recognised striker starting? Just us. See Forest have signed Arter from Bournemouth, bet Hogg is looking forward to meeting him again! He's probably still better than anyone we currently have available in midfield that we've actually seen play. Forest also signing defender Scott McKenna from Aberdeen for a rumoured £6m RE: Opposition Fans Comments - zicorice - 22-09-2020 They are about as confident as we are!!! They don't rate Diakhaby very highly do they? We simply HAVE to get something from this game and the newbies to begin to settle in.... RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Paplane - 23-09-2020 Diakhaby is the worst player i can ever remember in a forest shirt. Cant believe he's gone back there amd has actually played some games. RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Tricky - 23-09-2020 (23-09-2020, 02:13 AM)Paplane Wrote: Diakhaby is the worst player i can ever remember in a forest shirt. Cant believe he's gone back there amd has actually played some games. But you just know he will pop up with a goal against us. Its always the same! RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Joe Baker Legend - 26-09-2020 Huddersfield v Reds Match comments..... 8 changes for Forest - crikey! Entire back 4 changed 0 wins in 9 Scored 0 all season Great opportunity for us Forest have learned from their start and brought players in. We seem to want to accept we're shit. Town commentary team on Radiio Leeds confident we can win.... you all know what that means. Who had 40 seconds for Harry Arter rolling around on the floor? That’s f*****g horrible from Hogg Great stuff Hogg! That settles that score. Have you Get in Hoggy lad. Great challenge on that prick Getting it in now before the match starts. Really, really worried about my club. The direction we are going is down. If I am wrong by 10 o'clock tonight I will be delighted. But that team looks creaky and slow at the back with pace up front but no direction. I cannot see a goal in us and yet can see a few mistakes in giving Forest the initiative. As for the bench it is the weakest I have ever seen for the division we are in. I started watching Town in 1970 and have seen some shocking teams I assure you. Forest looking slightly disjointed. To be expected after 7 changes, but this is a massive opportunity for us to get 3 points. Credit where it’s due. We look sharp and determined so far. f**k Hogg man. Just kicking players. The 'protection he offers the defence' is an absolute myth. Omg Hamer has made a worldie. And I mean a save, not a mistake for once. So that's Sow and Hogg booked - the referee is a right pig! Sow should be off and for a second consecutive home game the opposition should have been down to ten men. Can some one tell Pritchard to just f*ck off away from set pieces Not a bad half. But where are the goals coming from? Forest probably Forest look absolutely shit yet our Goalkeeper is man of the match so far. We are so abysmal its not even funny anymore. Our attacking potency is that of a man suffering from brewers droop, impotency and about to shag Margaret Thatcher. I dont get how any team can be as terrible attacking. Our one corner of the half ended up back with our goalkeeper and the one decent sprint into their box also ended up back with our goalkeeper. Started lively but this is inevitably a Forest win and no goals in the for column. Just swap Forest for who we are playing and I could post this nearly every home game. An actual goal!!! That's a great goal. Very questionable marking from Forest but can't fault the cross or finish one bit Good tracking from Diakhaby who was at LB for that Forest break. Grabban dives and the dickhead with the whistle books Steers Lewis Grabban has the worst beard in football. I reckon he shaves off his pubes and glues em to his chin.. So what do we reckon, Lolley comes on and wins a pen converted by Grabban for the equaliser? The commentary team will be devastated if Forest don't get anything out of this would have had forest fans throwing emselves out of their windows if DK had scored there For all the brass Forest have spent they look garbage. Their gaffer must be for the chop if they lose tonight Good to get off the mark! 3 points will help moral. Forest were gash mind... Easily the better side second half. Should have scored more but they had some good chances in the first Who was the chap who put a grand on a Forest win then? Deserved win tonight Diakaby won't score if he plays for ten years how does he get on the pitch. Hamer give him his due two good saves tonight and no mistakes I just wanted Diakaby to score for the Forest fans reaction more than anything. Not like he didn't have enough chances! Well done lads, forest were shit but we ground it out. Cowley to get the forest job ? Forest board in meltdown Another point on Hogg. Whilst I agree the challenge was risky, we have all seen Arter play against us on a number of occasions - can you ever remember him having a quieter game? I made exactly that comment after the game. I was nervous when I saw Forest had signed him this week - he's one of those players who invariably has a good game against us and winds opposition players and fans up. RE: Opposition Fans Comments - wassy04 - 26-09-2020 Pretty much sums up what we all watched sadly |
