Premier League demands 12-point deduction as maximum punishment if Everton are found guilty of breaching financial rules. Important to note that final decision will be made by an independent commission. Everton maintain they have complied with the rules - John Percy.

And then any punishment will be appealed. We've see all this with the sheep. The club will try every avoidance strategy possible to avoid the application of a points deduction.

I know this is the Championship but we don’t have a thread and I find it fascinating.

Birmingham were sitting pretty in 6th place. Decided they wanted a celebrity manager.

Rooneys record to date played 2 Lost 2. Now down to 12th.

Reap what you sow.

This will be his last decent job for sure. He'll be with his mates Gerrard and Lampard soon.

Sheffield United getting the same gubbing away at Arsenal that we did last season. I do worry about the sheep's low point record at the moment, but if any team were to take it it'd be great if it were them.

Heckingbottom must be on the brink.

Wouldn't surprise me if Wilder went back.

I’m not sure Harry Houdini would be able to turn things around there

Yep, Heckingbottom did a great job last year and then they've come up and sold their best few players. Sounds like they'd have been in danger of administration if not promoted. Lucky! No idea why you'd waste money changing manager though. They're not even a top 6 championship team this year.

Agree. The ownership put nothing in and they are hopelessly under equipped for the PL. But they will blame the manager and sack him because that’s the cheap and easy thing to do.
No lover of Heckingbottom but he has no chance.

Pretty much, was told that by one of their more in the know fans that their relegation hit them hard, it was unexpected after they managed 9th in their first season.
They bet the farm on going straight back up when we did them in the playoffs and it sounds like they kicked the can last season and it came off but at the expense of not being able to invest this season, its all about covering the debt now.
