These lads seem the real deal.

Benfica, Nottingham Forest, João Carvalho and Diogo Gonçalves and Jorge Mendes' Gestifute, who represents the players. Absolute tuning between all parties to close in the middle of this month the business that will lead two young people from the formation of Benfica to England, with the incarnates to fit, for now, values to be around € 15 million.

João Carvalho, a 21-year-old midfielder, definitely leaves the Luz club, where he trained, and allows significant incarnation. BOLA does not have access to the official figures, but knows that it will be a deal worth around € 15 million. The Light club may put some clauses that allow it, if the player is successful, to fit some more value.

Diogo Gonçalves, also with 21 years and a termination clause of € 45 million (the contract signed with the incarnated in 2017, ending in 2022, is very similar to that of João Carvalho and Rúben Dias), travels to England on loan and with a high call option clause. He also knows The BALL that is higher than the value that Forest now pays for João Carvalho and that will not be less than € 20 million, a matter that has to do with the fact that the incarnated SAD considers that the extreme continues to have a market value significant.

Great stuff.
Mind blowing, who could of imagined something like this 14 months ago?

Wenger tried to sign goncalves

RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - BadDog - 03-06-2018

Goncalves & Carvalho there 40mill worth of talent in our team next season?

Jesus! I'm Buzzing ha ha!

Reading the Benfica fans comments they really rate both but some think Carvalho has the most potential and saying its a huge mistake. Apparently the Portuguese u21s have a golden era coming through and these two are there best players.

I think we deserve if after last 20 yrs.

Time for our time in the sun

The thing is we will definitely appreciate it given what we have all been through

Let's hope we get these deals over the line as it sounds like the sort of players required to propel us into contention.

Yes.  After 20 years of seeing 'smaller' clubs than Forest make it to the promised land...it is about time for Forest's day in the sun.  Given the dark times over the last two decades, Forest fans should appreciate being back there.

Hope Forest and Karanka can get those two young talents over the line.  That's some market value!  *fingers crossed.

It's been a while since Forest had genuine midfield talent to propel the team forward.  Add that to the lack of leaders at the back and lack of goalscorers at the front...have contributed to the mediocre times at Forest.

These whispers of a genuine 'scruff of the neck shake down' of the Forest squad sound promising.

The signings of Fig' and Dawson augers well for the Summer transfer window.

The next 2-4 signings should tell Forest fans a lot more about the way our season is going to go.

SA.

After Preston, it was clear to me that even a manager as good as Karanka was never going to be able to fix Forest by working with a patchwork squad made up of players from 6 fired Forest managers.

And the January transfer window was his response. The pretenders were out. Honesty and hard work were in. But even at that stage I felt that was only a temporary cull. The real blood bath would be the Summer window. Quality in. Mediocrity out.

SA.

Wowh!  Incredible how far we have come in the last year.
Is it really happening or am I going to wake up in a minute to find it was just a dream.

Definitely just a dream

RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - Sausage Roll - 03-06-2018

Interesting tweets from Alan Nixon. Says Portuguese deals are real but says that the fees being mentioned are over the top. Describes the fee for the permanent deal as sensible. Also says we're trying to shift players and says the big money will be kept for a striker.

RE: Diogo Goncalves & Joao Carvalho - ThePromisedLand - 03-06-2018

Sounds sensible. Nixon is known not to be a fan of ours but the TransferMarket website has them valued at £2.7m ( Goncalves ) & £2.25m ( Carvalho ). This may of course be Nixon’s source of info & not inside knowledge - but I suspect that the fees are somewhere in the middle of these wildly varying numbers.
