Well, Bridcutt played very very well against Newcastle and guess what?

He lost the shirt.
I agree with that, but something paul Taylor mentioned was that he's not match fit. To some agree I thought ok he's not played anything this season, so I thought a fair comment.
But after recent signings I can't see him having a place here anymore. Which is shocking to be fair.

RE: Claudio Yacob - Widdow - 06-09-2018

Bridcutt will never get match fit if he doesn’t play. And if he wasn’t match fit against Newcastle then I wouldn’t worry as he put in more effort than Watson and colback have done all season.

Still not sure what colback is doing to be a starter

The more players we get under contract the bigger the mess to clear up when Karanka goes, which lets face it if things carry on as they are will be sooner rather than later.

Redgirl, I felt probably as despondent as you, in fact I personally felt so disillusioned about him back in January, after beating Wolves then losing in the cup to Hull, I put together a torrid poisonous torrent of abuse about AK.

Feeling it unfair to any person or human being, I called it Karankerism.

I had hallucinations about Karankerism (collectively a full on amalgamation of: revolving door, cheque book, shitt on the academy, dour, negative, seemingly cowardly tactics and poor communication) also as it wasn't and hasn't started working I became like a rabid rottweiller purist on acid.  I wheeled all the statistics out 11 wins in his last 55 games or whatever.  I would fight and argue and throw insults at anyone and everyone ... I got banned from a forum I had been posting on for 4 years ... maybe justifiably so.

But I was hurting and depressed and I guess I liked the argument though and couldn't really respect anyone who bought into what we seemingly have now.

Let me share this with you ... everything will be ok, that doesn't automatically mean to start planning your trip to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge just yet.

NFFC has the most powerful heritage in this league and more powerful than most of the teams in the PL and has the owner and resources (eg Olympiakos) to get to the PL and stay there

I don't want to be to unfair on Karanka, but he is a puppet, he either re-metamorphisees into the awesome manager he can be results wise or he will be gone, at the moment he is miles away from being a good manager and even further from having the strength of results to put more positive, offensive, exciting, Forest values into the squad.

I was hoping on match days for Karankerism to crash and burn every match day and it usually has happened ...

... but now I have changed my mind, I know it will all come together, with or without Karanka, probably without, but if he can accept a kick up his ass and eat some humble pie and grow a pair he could have a future ..

I think Marinakis will tell him what he has to do now, Marinakis is helping him and supporting him to the hilt

I am not a fan of the tycoon, making huge piles of profit, but I am incredibly confident that Marinakis invested in NFFC because of our heritage and that he knows we can be incredibly successful, he can sell more shirts around the world to Forest fans than Brentford shirts or Bournemouth shirts or even Olympiakos shirts

In Athens it is either Olympiakos or AEK, Marinakis is playing on the biggest stage in Greece, it is related to their politics, culture and everything

He bought Nottingham Forest for a reason, not Millwall or Southend, these are nothing and always will be nothing in the scheme of things

Nottingham Forest has the most unique heritage, the most zero to hero story, it has huge appeal and even bigger potential.

A good manager, decent, loyal to players, fans, ways of playing isn't what Forest needed now but will in the future.

For the time being it is cheque book and revolving door to get things done quicker which means more mistakes, more players, more seeming disappointment but .... I am convinced now it is the quickest and Marinakis doesn't want to be hanging around, he is brutal but for NFFC in a good way.

Marinakis knows what Forest fans want, everything and he is the best we could of hoped for in many ways.

RE: Claudio Yacob - Widdow - 06-09-2018

Claudio Yacob will bring vital "leadership" to the Nottingham Forest dressing room, says Aitor Karanka.

The Reds boss hopes to see the former West Brom man become the second midfield addition in the space of 24 hours, following the capture of Greek international Panagiotis Tachtsidis.

Yacob, 31, will join the Reds as a free agent, after being released by the Baggies at the end of last season, to become signing number 16 of the summer.

Karanka says the addition of two further midfielders is not a reflection of Forest’s start to the season – or the performances of the players they already have in their squad.

He goes on to say he brought him and the Greek in as they were Players who were available. He said if a quality winger was available he would look at them even though we had wingers.

Well what about Sako lol?

And can’t see Watson retiring.

He wanted another leader in dressing room. He keeps saying that, we need them on pitch and playing well!!

Confirmed. Two year deal.

RE: Claudio Yacob - Widdow - 06-09-2018

Is Randall on holiday. Not there again for the signing photo

RE: Claudio Yacob - TrickySte - 06-09-2018

Another 30+ on a long contract. There's going to be some serious liabilities on the wage bill if we don't go up this season and let's face it, Claudio Yacob is not going to win us promotion.

Players like Yacob are the difference between having to score 1 goal to win a game or 2 goals to draw a game.

RE: Claudio Yacob - Sausage Roll - 06-09-2018

Two years isn't *that* long a contract.
