Its impossible to hire a team of 25 PL players without ability. Maybe a few but not everyone. If they lacked ability there would still be signs of structure and plan on the pitch but there is none.

In the past Cooper has made reference to a leadership group of players. Aurier amd Wood were in it. Presumably Wozza and Yates too. None of those players are starters now and Wozza is bombed out. Thats a problem for a leadership group Id say.

Yes but why? Of the press leaks are to be believed it lies at SC door. I just think (even after posting it) that this is the Marinakis PR in overdrive. DT has his own agenda but it’s much more balanced than national press. I also think players don’t like it when the manager gets all the credit. Stuart Pearce for example - the crowd loved him but that love drive a wedge between him and the players. They are fickle fuckers players and have massive ego. I bet they hate the cooper chants being bigger than their own when things are going well and really pisses them off when it isn’t going well.

There is no mutiny.  The players have stopped OVERperforming.

If the players have stopped overperforming then that implies up until this point Cooper has been getting them to overperform so that seems like.a defence of Cooper and a criticism of the transfer business.

Our squad seems pretty unlikeable right now...

Both.  Cooper's lineup decisions and tactics have required players  to overperform.  That's why it has only succeeded in short stretches.

So who are these players who have been over performing?

I have only seen players underperforming.

Because some of them are gutless, spineless man-baby millionaires.

100% agree! Most of us have to work to pay bills and mortgages. If i "downed tools" at work,I would be sacked. How would i pay a mortgage? Put food on the table? Spineless!!!!! If you don't like it, find a new club. Do people not realise how good we've had it since SC walked into the club? He has faults and needs to address these but does not deserve this reaction from the squad. COYR!

Thanks for putting this thread on Sniffer, been deliberately keeping my head down for a few days. Seen loads of stuff written about tactics, falling outs and every other excuse under the sun. But the buck stops with the players and the last 2 games have been unforgivable.

“Lest’s dance one more f*****g time.
We won’t forget the players that downed tools for one of the best managers in this club’s history.
Whatever happens today thank you Steve.
Thank you for everything. ❤️”
