Domingues over Mangala due to his extra pace, pressing, and ball carrying skills.
We aren’t going to have the ball so IMO Domingues a better option out of possession than Mangala

Spot on again bit coops will play mangala for Dominguez
Bit I would also swap Felipe for wazza

I doubt Felipe will be fit for Saturday

McKenna will start. Cooper is too loyal with him

RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - Marco Polo - 22-09-2023

he dropped Worrall when the time was right. He'll drop McKenna and we won't see him for a long time

RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 22-09-2023

Yeah is Man City really the game to put Niakhate back in? Not sure that's the confidence booster he needs.

RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - Tricky - 22-09-2023

I think SC may go with the 3 at the back and the wing backs, the same as he did at Chelsea.

I think he may go for something like this:

                                        Turner

              Worrall                 Boly            McKenna

Aina                                                                     Tavares

                          Yates                Sangre/Mangala

        Elanga                                                   MGW

                                       Awoniyi

Given the fact that City are down to the bare bones when it comes to players available (granted they are still bloody awesome!), I think SC may just fancy coming away with something from here and may be a bit reluctant to integrate too many of the new signings into the side. He may bring one or two on in the second half though, especially CHO.

He may well drop him now. But why was it too loyal to keep someone who was superb in the previous match and shut out Chelsea’s billion pound forward line?

completely agree, you couldn't drop him after chelsea. he made a silly mistake for the handball though. drop him,

There's been a game played since then, and Chelseas front line are still learned the league, once they click they will be a force. Was a steady game for him, everyone who's playing Chelsea ATM is keeping them out

Aina--------Yates----------Sangare-------Mangala-----Tavares
--------------------------------MGW-------------------------------

Or leave out one of Yates or Mangala and include either CHO or Elanga.

I think barring injury (or Felipe appearing) this will be the team, not sure whether Niakhate would play ahead of McKenna though...

What's up with Niakhate?
He was fantastic in the run in last season, can't get a look in now after his elbow injury.
McKenna is solid but Niakhate is much more mobile & dynamic plus his throw in's are dangerous.

Was he that great? I remember him being a bit clumsy and erratic although he was clearly more athletic.

Those throws were a weapon though if his injury has healed properly.

Spot on. Has potential but more slices than Hovis.

Bit nervous for this. On way to visit me nipper at Manchester Uni, then game later. Feels like Haaland owes us and I'm worried as on his day he is unplayable. Last season this was a 'free hit" but this year if sounds like people are expecting us to give them trouble-I hope they are right. One of our more popular Youtubers is absolutely convinced we will win! Hope he is prophetic....

For me like modt of the other teams in Europe, best hope is Park both buses and pray to Sir Brian.

Am I nervous absolutely but I think anything less than 3 goals against us is progress but the main thing is we have to put in a performance and prove we can fight away from home.
