RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 22-02-2022 2 jaded performances on the bounce now. The players need to dig deep on Saturday. RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - willdared - 22-02-2022 Surprised how tired we looked RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Fumanchew - 22-02-2022 Only got to see the second half but seems I’m the only one that thought the ref was a bit shit? Especially that Garner minimal body check then Garner has it happen to him like 2 minutes later and nothing given!! RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - zicorice - 22-02-2022 Take a point. Every player under par tonight. Two consecutive games where we've looked off the pace, but dug out a point in both. Can't blame tired legs this time. Players looked desperate rather than controlled, (that old cliché of trying too hard?) Embarrassing how they kept surrounding ref (foul was outside box and Daniel Johnsons foul was also just a yellow). Think Davis really struggled tonight which meant ball kept coming back. Spence had an absolute mare then nearly conjured up a winner from nothing. Such a talent. Should Cooper have changed things earlier? Maybe, (I thought Surrige Mighten and Zinc as a new front 3 for last 15 minutes) but we just needed to dig in and they did tbf. One of those days and still got a point-just. Bit nervous about trip to Sheff U next week now, but need to beat the Worzels first. Motm: Horvarth. RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 22-02-2022 Yep only consolation was Horvath looked pretty solid. Distribution was much better than last time too RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - DR Forest - 22-02-2022 Didn’t see the game as I’m in France but sounds similar to the stoke game which I was at. Blip maybe but I’m worried we’ve been ‘sussed’ RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Portchester Tricky - 22-02-2022 our right side "Love in with Johnson and Spence was targetted, which meant we couldn't rely on that outlet. Our lack of a left sided mounted attack meant that we were neutralized effectively. Davis attempted to turn his man on several occasions, but it seems that the remit from Preston was to stop him turning his defender. The game was so frustrating to watch, as we couldn't win the second balls, and had no answer to their high press. I think we need to have a rethink, and work out an alternative strategy of playing through the middle, or varying our attack down the left and right sides. i believe we have the players to achieve this. RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - ozzyten10 - 23-02-2022 Think zink should have come on at 60 minutes - he offers more forward play and links to the forwards better than anyone else in the squad - however defensively we lose something so understand cooper sticking. Someone gambling on spences cross and we would be saying a cooper master class! RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - JWJW - 23-02-2022 Their players ran towards the ball. Our players run away from the ball. Their players got the ball. Our players were left wondering why the ball never got to them. Bloody obvious really - they wanted it - we did not. RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Madforit - 23-02-2022 Cooper got this one all wrong, I couldn't understand why he decided to not change it around the 60 minute mark, I was hoping that he would have made a double substitution with the Zinc and Surridge coming on for Garner and Davis, we looked as if we were jaded and allowed them to get at us without much in reply, although a point is a point but I'd rather have given it a real go and gone for the three. It's the fourth time I have been to Preston and they aren't a bad team at all, hard working team with some decent players, I'm not looking forward to Sheff Utd, I think that will be a harder game, and they are playing very well at the moment, I would have been happier with the three points against Preston and a point against the blunts. RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - northeastred - 23-02-2022 Can't understand why we don't treat every game as we have done in the cup, at present we're no we're near good enough to get in the play offs, we're lacking fight, its not play off chasing form, Coventry are showing us how it's done, saying that, I'd snap your hand off for any position above tenth, especially after the start of the season, RE: Preston - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 23-02-2022 I suppose it shows how far we have come in such a short space of time that we are moaning about getting a point at Preston. I hope no one is stupid enough to write us off - BC. |
