If we can't make top two then I would be happy to snatch a play off spot on the last day. That would give us momentum going into the play offs. I don't like the thought of going into the last day already in the play offs and resting players and losing momentum. Just my take on it. Of course I will take whatever comes.

Our record against the top teams in this division should give us great confidence going into the play offs regardless of what happens against Stoke on the last day. I would also think that the other teams would dread facing Forest in the play offs for the same reason.

Disagree Sniff. I always think that the club that scrapes 6th place on the last day feels the job's been done and they switch off. A case of mission accomplished, we reached the play offs, we've had a good season to get here, etc etc.

I've got a feeling our players will see 6th as a failure, having been only a few points off 2nd in mid Feb.

Ideal scenario for me is to be chasing 2nd up to the last minute of the last game. If we fail then hard luck, we go again. I think we have enough composure and experience to not let missing 2nd affect us going into a play-off semi.

With our brilliant away record, teams will come to nottingham in a semi knowing they have to get a win or a draw at least as we're tight as owt in away ties. That will play into our hands and allow us to concede possession and dicatate as we have been doing away all season.

If I could choose one team to play in the play offs home and away now it would be Leeds.

I just cant see them losing again in a semi. Not after their experience last year. But having said that, I said a few weeks ago I couldn't see their form collapsing like it did last year, and it has.

:D

I predict The Shaggers will put a winning run together and scrape 6th. We will face them in the final and lose to a Rooney injury time goal that will be celebrated in Derby for the next 30 years.

Nae chance!
Rooney will either succumb to a season ending injury or be caught out in the flesh pots of Chaddesden - either way that will signal the end of the Sheep season.

If we do have to endure the pray-offs, I think I would feel more confident this time. We are much more organised than before and I feel much stronger especially away from home. Yes I know we won away at Yeovil and then succumbed but we just have a much more professional team now. Just hope if we do, we have a full strength side to choose from.

Based on this season, away leg second wouldn't be a bad thing. Might take the pressure off when it mattered
