Have supported the club over 50 years now and this has been the most disappointing season in terms where we started in August and probable relegation end of April. Whats also is nagging me is that the mess we find ourselves in at present as a club, bouncing right back with retained players and large budget after player sales we will screw it up! ????? That's what I like to see keep your peckers up lads. We not down yet and not even mathematically RE: Are We Going Down? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 17-03-2026 I think we have just as good a chance of staying up as going down. 50/50 and all still to play for. RE: Are We Going Down? - JollyLollyAussie - 17-03-2026 I am a supporter of long standing Mr 1970 but also a realist! No team is too big to go down RE: Are We Going Down? - ozzyten10 - 17-03-2026 I’ve felt this way since the Liverpool Var incident and compounded this week again with Var. these things happen to relegated sides! They do. But they also happened to us loads in our first 2 seasons back and we survived. Both incidents you mention were heartbreaking, but it’s not over yet. RE: Are We Going Down? - ozzyten10 - 17-03-2026 I really hope I’m wrong of course. I’d like our second string to turn in a great performance and win on Thursday to get the squad chomping at the bit with confidence to play the rest of the games. I’d like a surprise performer to turn up with real confidence and belief- Ndoye, Bakwa, mcatee maybe - then others to take the pressure off MGW and Ando to create. It would do the team a whole load of good that would! That is fact sniff, but the optics in terms of performance look like we are sleep walking to relegation, we wont even make the last day on current levels. Agree. Those comparing it to the first two seasons are missing a fundamental point. In those seasons our home form was alright plus the teams in the relegation zone were awful (at least second season). We were incredibly lucky to stay up second season. This season's home form has been terrible - we can't even score. I still think spurs will turn it around while west ham have momentum - in Bowen, solanke and richarlison they all have players capable of scoring. Leeds have a goalscorer. Where will our goals come from? Mgw is our best bet but that's not great. Unless we can get taiwo back to his 22/23 form I don't see much chance of staying up I also think our run looks the toughest compared to our rivals. If we lose on Sunday, I don't see us closing the gap. RE: Are We Going Down? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-03-2026 Win lose or draw nothing will be decided on Sunday. RE: Are We Going Down? - Paplane - 18-03-2026 Weve been certs for relegation since the final whistle of the Wolves home game. I know Wolves have picked up a lot since but on that night they were absolutely shocking. That's the game that confirmed it for me. |
