I think VAR could be a whole lot better if it worked in football more like it does in other sports. 

If it’s meant to rectify ‘clear and obvious’ errors then set a two minute time limit for the check. If the VAR can’t justify changing it after that then it wasn’t an obvious mistake and the on-field referee’s decision stands. 

Maybe even make all challenges team initiated rather than referee. Each team only having two per half and losing one if they fail with it. 

That’d add an interesting dynamic.

You'd probably still have got the same results yesterday with challenges. Brentford definitely challenge that appeal, maybe the ref looks more at the Yates one.

VAR is shite, I barely celebrated either goal as I thought they were both offside in real time. 

It had a shocker yesterday for us though, cost us a game we would've won easily. Either you give 4 pens or none, I thought Yates one was the only one of the 4 that should've been given personally. I thought once the keeper touched the ball that was enough to not be a pen? Henderson thought that too

It's a shame that a sound idea and technology is being undermined by poor rules and poorer interpretation.
