RE: Are We Going Down? - JollyLollyAussie - 16-03-2026 Wassy like Sal comments most appreciate your optimism but why do you say that we have so much quality in the team that we would/should be OK, I am still waiting for so call players to show me this trait and if this is correct why are we in deep S**t at the bottom of the table? Pretty easy one to explain JL Goals conceded is 43 which is joint 13th place level with Newcastle which feels about right Goals scored however at 28 is 19th place and relegation fodder. To add if you like what I call fake stats, in terms of XG we are in 15th which suggests we are making chances but not scoring them. As if we didn’t know that with our own eyes, but does suggest some quality there. RE: Are We Going Down? - JollyLollyAussie - 16-03-2026 Again Sal no issue with your comments but we at the bottem end of the table so what is the point of player qaulity if we lack the effort and dersire in a positive way? I have failed to see ANY player recently say I will roll up my sleeves and give 110% and be a leader to my teamates, please dont mention MGW as he has and never will be a captain, to add to this just maybe not having that burden hanging around his neck would improve his performance for the team? RE: Are We Going Down? - Salvatore Matrecano - 16-03-2026 Probably the only 2 players in the squad who have consistently given their all and performed at their top level (nearly) throughout are MGW and Neco. Should add special mention to Jesus, despite his shortcomings in front of goal I think has absolutely given everything despite coming to a new country and having no break at all over the summer. I think we’ve literally broken him. Yes I feel for Jesus. It wasn't supposed to be like that. RE: Are We Going Down? - ozzyten10 - 17-03-2026 He has been overplayed but has been a willing runner and with more rest may have been more effective. The lack of quality in the forward line is not new and was predictable given woods age. RE: Are We Going Down? - Jimmygordon - 17-03-2026 Maybe we need a CEO, A Labour Yes man, a filmmaker, a Chairman, a Recruitment Director, a Head of Recruitment, a Worldwide Sporting Director, a Forest Sporting Director, a Director of Football, a Head of Football Operations, a Head Coach, a Chairman and his son to think of these highly strategic things like a 34 year old striker might get injured? And not chase Douglas Luiz for 6 months only to find he is either injured or porking one of their daughters? Or a coach who doesn't play Morgan on the wing, Callum at right back and Dominguez at 10? And thinks having a set-piece coach with anger issues jumping around the dugout with players ignoring him is a good idea. And whoever signed Luca needs sacking. Chicago: pissed off :-) RE: Are We Going Down? - DeesideRed - 17-03-2026 (17-03-2026, 01:02 PM)Jimmygordon Wrote: Maybe we need a CEO, A Labour Yes man, a filmmaker, a Chairman, a Recruitment Director, a Head of Recruitment, a Worldwide Sporting Director, a Forest Sporting Director, a Director of Football, a Head of Football Operations, a Head Coach, a Chairman and his son to think of these highly strategic things like a 34 year old striker might get injured? Whilst a worthy punt if we have no money it does look odd given our lack of goals - links to Strand Larsson and Mateta suggested we didnt have financial concerns and i'm surprised we didnt look at the Swansea lad Vipotnik who would have fit the bill at half the cost of the prem pair. That said, bar Hutchinson (who was bought on PL experience) I dont know whether fishing in the championship is now seen as beneath us. Post of the day RE: Are We Going Down? - Username - 17-03-2026 Just checked out one of the Spurs forums, they have a relegation thread that is 390 pages long! There is a poll and it seems the overall view is that they will go down but lots of positive comments after their draw against Liverpool RE: Are We Going Down? - ozzyten10 - 17-03-2026 I think we are down. Looking at the fixtures and our bad run of form especially in front of goal and I just think it’s stinks of relegation. Spurs, West Ham and Leeds have more goal scoring than us and teams that don’t score get relegated. It’s such a shame and a huge kick in the teeth. Hope I’m wrong but don’t think I am. RE: Are We Going Down? - JollyLollyAussie - 17-03-2026 100% agree Ozzy, its been on the cards for some time now. Have supported the club over 50 years now and this has been the most disappointing season in terms where we started in August and probable relegation end of April. Whats also is nagging me is that the mess we find ourselves in at present as a club, bouncing right back with retained players and large budget after player sales we will screw it up! |
