But there's an issue here and now with clubs struggling with covid. Im not talking about The cheating b*****d club, but decent clubs who dont cheat and act deceptively have been prevented from complying with ffp rules due to reasons beyond their control. If 6 or 7 clubs got a points deductuon next season the league would be a bit of a farce really.

And the efl is governed by its memeber clubs. If they elect to change the laws then thats fine. The cheats down the down can squeal all they like but every person/company/entity in the country lives by the laws of the land which exist now, not in the future or the past.

March on the other hand....

I honestly don't think it matters. QPR fans probably looked at their recent fixtures and said by the end of February we will be top 2 but look what happened there.

With the transfer window being closed, and it being voted for by the clubs, the timing has little difference.

We'll take a hit in the table now our game's off. Preston, and Sheffield have winnable games so will likely go above us. Coventry can draw level on points and Stoke will be just a point behind. Both of them have easy games too.

Has that much been changed?

It was announced that there would be a Covid allowance around the time that it was announced that years three and four (19/20 & 20/21) of the P & S would be averaged out when it came to calculating compliance.

Yesterdays announcement put a value (5m) on the allowance for both of those seasons.

It also put a value (2.5m) on this seasons allowance which is quite generous considering there has been little or no disruption.

The allowances certainly favour the smaller clubs; a 5m allowance for a club with a turnover of 12 to 15m is much better than 5m for a club with a 25 to 30m turnover like us

The other new news in yesterdays announcement confirmed that all clubs had agreed to use straight line amortisation from now on; surely that means the EFL had no case against Derby.

No such thing as an easy game Pap. Lets see what happens.

There are this season Sniff. Reading, Peterborough and Barnsley, much to my frustration.

Barnsley beat QPR last week.

RE: The Championship 2021/22 - Paplane - 19-02-2022

I watched Peterborough v Reading in the week. It was pathetic stuff from both sides. 2 massivlly poor sides. If sheep fans bemoan their perceived harsh treatment they should be reminded that they are currently the luckiest club ever to receive a points deduction, considering the quality of the teams they're chasing down.

RE: The Championship 2021/22 - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 19-02-2022

Yes I know what you mean Pap. Funnily enough I look at Readings team and I think they have some decent players, they even have 2 that we want to sign. Also their manager is someone we were interested in, he previously worked in the USA and was known to Dane and he also led Serbia to the under 20 World Cup Final which they won, something very similar to Steve Cooper.
To be honest I am a bit shocked by Reading because I think their players and their manager are much better than the crap what they are currently serving up.

RE: The Championship 2021/22 - Paplane - 19-02-2022

I supose we can just write this game off now and treat it as a loss. And then anything we get when it is eventually played is a bonus. This is a weird season for us. We're playing promotion football but staying massively under the radar.

They looked poor all ove the pitch. I was hoping Tom Ince might inject some quality but he looked average too. Dead certs to go down. They couldn't score against Posh, no way are they stringing 3 or 4 wins together to put the sheep in trouble again.
