I hope that was a tactical injury to avoid him playing during the international break

He normally lasts till about 70 mins. Yesterday was earlier. Even though he's a major injury news shithouse, it'd be a major bluff for Cooper to gamble the result yesterday on a substitute paying off.

Awoniyi is a beast of a player isnt he? Credit to the lad we were all doubting him 12 months ago. Now, he looks like a top prem player. Top drawer he is. He's now bullied centre backs from Chelsea, United and Arsenal and looks to have them beaten. You can see why he was in Liverpool's squad. He's quality.

I just can’t believe a player like Thiago gave him the chance to meg him!

I find it crazy really, he looked like such a dud in those early games. Then after the WC Cooper starts him out wide and then suddenly his pace was unleashed. He's looked a different player since, whatever they did during that World Cup break was amazing. Now aside from the occasional terrible touch he looks like one of the top strikers in the league.

The new fitness team needs to do their jobs to get him through the season.

Cooper going to have a lot of headaches putting a team together with all the new signings and existing platers upping their game. We are going to have a strong bench.

What would everyone teams be if everyone player is fit?

Turner
Felipe Worrall Boly
Aurier Sangare Yates Aina
Elanga MGW
Taiwo

Based on what I've seen so far this season and Sangare's price tag! So many tough calls though, Niakhate and his long throws, Mangala, Danilo (when fit). Then you still have Dominguez, Origi, Montiel, Tavares, CHO all to be considered at some point.

We certainly have options now and backups too in case of injuries hitting again.

I dontbthibk Forest have ever had a squad quite like it before. Back in the day they were not this big and certainly weren't dominated by players from outside the Home Nations.

CF: Awoniyi, Origi, Wood.

I haven't mentioned Kouyate and Williams.

What a squad of players that is!

I think in the end we've done a good job to redress the balance too. The squad is a bit younger and more athletic whilst still retaining experience. Possibly a bit weak at LB on paper then you watch the opening games that Aina has played and you wonder what we're worried about. We'll see when we play some more home games what he's made of in an attacking sense and likely Tavares will get some games too. It is probably the only position barring injury you'd think we'd need to address if any in January which is an impressive achievement and nit picking at worst.

Exciting season ahead.
