A few years ago the average tenure of a Championship manager was under a year. It’s actually gone up since then.Top 6 by end of November id say is his minimum. Sad but true. I wonder how many of this seasons coaches/managers will make it through the whole season. RE: Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit - Sabricadabra - 29-08-2020 More will be sacked than keep their jobs. It depends on how many others get sacked, could COVID and the financial constraints have an effect? There’s 37 in place since pre-season 2019. There’s 16 in place since pre-season 2018. There’s 10 in place since pre-season 2017. There’s 4 in place since pre-season 2016. So basically about a 50% chance a coach survives the season. A ‘half-life’ of a year! Despite the agony of missing out on last season’s play-offs with a 4-1 capitulation to Stoke City, the Frenchman kept his job following extensive talks with owner Evangelos Marinakis over the summer. Forest have backed their man in the transfer window, too, with seven first-team signings and a rejigged backroom staff, but sources have told The Athletic that time is fast running out for Lamouchi to turn things around. Forest have not won any of their last eight matches and were beaten by Barnsley in the EFL Cup on September 5. Next up, Cardiff City at home on Saturday. RE: Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-09-2020 Interesting but stating the obvious really. RE: Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit - ThePromisedLand - 14-09-2020 David Ornstein being credited - in an article by Paul Taylor. Odd this one since Ornstein is usually a PL journo only - and focuses primarily on Arsenal. RE: Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit - Sausage Roll - 14-09-2020 Think it would be utterly daft to pull the trigger too soon. If they were going to do it it should've been done right after the last match of the season. Letting Sabri bring his own staff and players in only to then give him the boot after a couple of matches would be senseless. He needs until Christmas in my opinion, *unless* results get so bad that his position is untenable. RE: Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-09-2020 It all depends on what Dourekas is saying to EM. |
