RE: Brice Samba - JollyLolly - 14-06-2022 SM, if another club comes calling for Samba or any of our other players who are under contract they will have to pay through the nose, we can afford to sit tight no need top off load unless it suits us! RE: Brice Samba - Salvatore Matrecano - 14-06-2022 We dont need a bad attitude in the dressing room or someone who doesnt want to be here either. For that reason I hope it is all sorted. On another note worth remembering a large part of what got us promoted was the team spirit that Cooper built. We dont want any incoming signings who are prima donnas or think they are better than the club. Im sure Cooper feels the same RE: Brice Samba - Paplane - 14-06-2022 If Horvath feels he needs to play football before the world cup we could be on the look out for 2 keepers this summer. He was interviewed earlier in the week and said exactly that. They wont pay much fee, wages wont be anything like he could get in PL and if the rumour of Nantes is correct they have a well established No1 keeper. Because he don't want to be our number 2 behind Henderson. Don’t think we would have gone for Henderson until Samba spat his dummy out. Not doubting Henderson could be an upgrade but in my opinion GK was one of the few areas the existing squad didn’t need a shed load of money throwing at it. However I think Cooper was fed up with some of Samba's antics long ago and he had already decided that Samba was not the man for him to have in goal in the PL. Samba wouldn't even of got back in our team if Horvath hadn't gone away on international duty. RE: Brice Samba - Username - 16-06-2022 …and we would still be in the Championship RE: Brice Samba - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 16-06-2022 Why are we a one man team? RE: Brice Samba - Paplane - 16-06-2022 Ive had a thought. Assume maybe that Horvath has said he wants out ( to get games before the wc) and so we've been forced into the market for a keeper. Do we go out and get a replacement for him of equivalent talent (a bench warmer), or do we get the absolutely best keeper we can realistically sign in Henderson? Maybe Brice has just been caught up in some bad circumstances. RE: Brice Samba - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 16-06-2022 Honestly Pap I don't think Cooper, Murphy and co have faith in him at PL level and I agree with them. Henderson is a big step up and if we are serious about progressing then this is what we have to do although it will upset a few. |
