16 players have one year left on their contract according to Transfermarkt.
Of this I'd like to see Worrall and potentially Aurier sign extensions.
Besides Felipe who else should the club keep around this season?

Just seen this claim in the athletic article about wood and Shelvey.
“Shelvey’s performances are also viewed to have damaged the form of Morgan Gibbs-White. His habit of playing longer passes did not mesh with Gibbs-White’s playing style. The younger man’s form dipped when Shelvey was in the team.”
I wonder who’s that come from? Cooper himself?

I've just read that article and it's made me feel a bit more sympathetic towards Wood (though not Shelvey). It mentioned that in every Premier League season in which Wood has started 20+ games he's scored 10+ goals. There may yet be a player in there somewhere.

I think he's had a real raw deal. He was thrown in completely raw and never found his feet. Then got injured making fans believe hes a waste of time.
And another positive is that he's not playing for Dyche at Everton, who could be our relegation rivals.

Don't forget we didn't exactly play to his strengths then after he got injured we changed to tactics that would've suited him perfectly!

I remain unconvinced by him but I do reckon Wood is a good pro who will give 100% and want to prove himself.
The deal we negotiated isnt his fault, definitely think there is a role for him. Also encouraged in the article that he doesn’t himself expect to start every game.

I thought Ojeda would be like o’brien but it looks like a proper season long loan? So he’ll return here October 23?
