I don’t like calling players out but Turner is never a Premiership in a million years, Championship at best, which is where we will be in we continue with him. We desperately need a good keeper. Makes the decision to let Samba go even more baffling.

The recruitment certainly didn’t excel in that position this summer.
The drop off from Henderson & Navas is stark.
Top keepers save you 10 points a season, ours will cost us 10 points
Fail to replace them in Jan and we are staring down the barrel of relegation.
Thankfully NES will recognise this being a former keeper himself.

Well I've started an argument that quite frankly I'm too lazy (& now sober) to carry on but in a nutshell I never saw what everybody else seems to see in Dean Henderson......I wasn't that fussed when we didn't get him. I also don't think that Turner is the antichrist that he's being made out to be. I mean if you have a goalkeeper that isn't great with his feet then don't get yourself into positions where you're forced to pass back to him under pressure, it ain't rocket science. The number of times I've watched our defenders f**k about with the ball & then go into panic mode cos the opposition run at them!!! & yet we ignore that & criticize the goalkeeper for it. But hey you know what they say about opinions.......

TBF subject to his fitness/age, our third keeper is better than our 1st 2.

I'm old school. Couldn't give a sh1t if the keeper can't pass like Neil Webb, so long as he dominates his box and saves most of what he should save and a few he shouldn't save over a season.
Currently neither keeper has ticked those most basic of boxes. Frustrating thing is, you can see in Turner he has the tools, but drops a clanger per game. (Haven't seen enough of the other feller - though his body language after 2nd Fulham goal suggest he might lack minerals)
Agree with the passing back. Turner for foreseeable future should either play a quick simple pass if it's on or launch it long, no hesitation or trying to pretend he can do more with ball at his feet.

Totally agree with this bit Wrexham.
For some reason our defenders (and midfield) seem to prat about for too long, tippy tapping it from side to side, which allows the opposition to come onto them, forcing the ball backwards. But instead of then clearing the ball forwards, our defenders then find the opposition are bearing down on them in dangerous areas, forcing the ball back to our keeper, often at pace, which then needs to be controlled before being passed.
Having said that, I don't think Turner is the answer as first choice keeper. The Greek keeper? I've not really seen enough of him to pass comment. The 5 goals he conceded at Fulham, I don't think he could be blamed for any of them TBH.
I am hoping this is an area Nuno will be able to address though and we will see improvements in the near future

Everything he did today worried me. He looks well under the level to me.
