Are you happy with Yates? Thought Johnson and Yates did OK ish on Saturday. They're not world beaters I agree but I think you've got to try Semedo in there again before you start playing your star man out of position and upsetting the entire balance of the team. And don't forget Darikwa and Jenkinson have only played a hansful of games between them over the last couple of years. They're going to need games to get up to an acceptable level. Semedo and Bostock are the real problem here. If they had got up to the standard everyone seems to think they're capable of then the loss of Sow wouldn't be so crucial. Are you happy with Yates? I knew my suggestion wouldn't be popular but if I was the manager I would do it. Also I don't believe that by moving Cash into the centre that it upsets the balance of the side. Both Darikwa and Jenkinson are natural right backs and would slip straight in. I remember when Cash was moved to right back most were up in arms and moaning about it. He has done brilliant to be fair but I am sure that he could do a cracking job in midfield where we have a bit of a crisis at the moment. RE: Samba Sow - the jock - 24-06-2020 I think it could be a good move sniffer. I'd prefer cash in the middle over yates. Yates is slow and poor positionally. Johnson shouldn't be playing in a promotion push. Now is not the time to play youth RE: Samba Sow - Paplane - 24-06-2020 (24-06-2020, 04:44 PM)the jock Wrote: I think it could be a good move sniffer. Yates and Johnson wont get us promoted, but they might just keep us ticking over for a fortnight until the seniors are back fit. Better to ease the old boys back in rather than rush them and then have them out permanently. RE: Samba Sow - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 24-06-2020 I wouldn't call Sow an old boy. He just can't stay fit for a run of games. There are only 8 games left he might not play again this season and we don't know what the problem with Watson is. We have Darikwa and Jenkinson in our squad for right back. Get Matty Cash into that midfield box to box roll. RE: Samba Sow - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-06-2020 I get you with Cash in the middle, it may work. The biggest worry is the hole it leaves on the right. Darikwa is coming back from injury, no idea if he is near match fit. Jenkinson is as much of a biscuit as Sow and when I have seen him play he has looked a liability. Jayden Richardson currently getting his Wembley visit with Exeter is our long term replacement for RB, not the afore mentioned 2. I do agree that Sow has a very impressive record at Forest but would they have won as much if he was paired with Yates? Could be but I believe that Watson and Sow complement each other perfectly and that is the reason why we have been so successful with Sow in the team. We seem to keep forgetting how good Watson actually is for the overall performance of the team but he unfortunately is not able to carry the whole midfield alone. Gari. ...rare I don't agree with you. ...but each charge into the top 6 coincides with Sow being in the side. yes, Watson sits in behind him...but Forest have a mediocre record with Watson in the side and Sow out of it. we were out of the top 6 but it was Sow's return that powered us back into o it. We're a top 8-10 side without him. SA. RE: Samba Sow - Strawberry Avenger - 24-06-2020 (24-06-2020, 12:06 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: Sorry Gari. I have to disagree on a lot of that. We have a lot of evidence that we cannot win without Sow even with Watson in the team alongside Silva or Yates. Also I don't agree that moving Cash will weaken the team. Jenkinson and Darikwa are both proven at this level. Yup. SA. RE: Samba Sow - Strawberry Avenger - 24-06-2020 ..and yes. Watson back in the side makes sense. An experienced DCM that sits in there. Ofc. SA. RE: Samba Sow - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 24-06-2020 I have seen some photos from training today. I didn't see Watson or Sow on any of them. RE: Samba Sow - Madforit - 24-06-2020 Is Watson injured or is he in his way out of the club? RE: Samba Sow - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 24-06-2020 He supposedly received a kick on the knee before the Wolves friendly but to be honest I am not totally convinced by that. |
