Anyone who seriously thinks we just have to turn up to be in the 5th round needs to give their head a massive wobble!

This is the biggest game Exeter have been involved in for years, if not THE biggest game in their history. They are welcoming the present third best team in the country to St James Park. Probably one of the best teams in Europe, if i'm being honest. The place will be packed to the rafters with the vast majority cheering on the home side. This is their cup final!

All it is going to take is a fluke of a deflection, a poor referee's decision or some lower league clogger/future superstar to take out one or two of our players and that could lead to all sorts of problems and/or knock on effects for the rest of our season.

Or........... I could be wrong in all of the above and we go out there and knock in a cricket score!!

The united game that got them out the conference was probably bigger but I get your point lol

We need to win this match, no half measures, let’s not do what Spurs did at Tamworth.

We’ve got a tough run in the league and need to be pushing forward on all levels.

We need to get the balance right.

Of course we want to win but at the same time protect some of our players.

I hear what you say but there are eight days between the Fulham and Newcastle matches so there should be no need to rest anyone (other than perhaps Chris Wood)

Let's see what Nuno will decide.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - zicorice - 07-02-2025

For me.

Miguel (with Hennessey on bench)

Eric  Boly  Toff Abbot Moreno

      Sangare  Yates
Sosa          Jota
                  Taiwo

Hennessey and a bunch of kids on bench.

Nuno to fly down after training with 1st XI Tuesday back before Weds training along with those requires for bench.

Should win and also gets full prep in for big game next week.

Is the match on telly?

BBC or ITV?

Andrew Kitchen will referee the match.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 09-02-2025

The side I would pick but unlikely Nuno picks. Yes I do know better than him!

Sels
Williams Morato Milenkovic Moreno
Yates Dominguez
Sosa Jota Elanga
Awoniyi

Sangare and Danilo off the bench only.

No messing about, win the game in 90 mins without having to risk Wood MGW and Murillo.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 09-02-2025

The Big Guy
Williams Morato Boly Moreno
Yates Danillo/Sangare
Sosa Jota Elanga/CHO
Awoniyi

Danillo & Sangare to have 45 each.
Same for Elanga /CHO
