Let hope it doesn’t come to that. NUNOS going to save us

Then you'll have to accept most of the players were Coopers choices with a few random players thrown in. All EM was doing was backing his manager and if he hadn't people would've moaned about that.

That’s simply not true they look split down the middle
Not joined up and scattergun

Anyway Sniffer is right - we’re in the prem so who cares?!

Recruitment wasn’t to blame for the 4 subs made against Luton that cost us the game.
Recruitment wasn’t to blame for throwing away a 2-0 lead at Man Utd
Recruitment wasn’t to blame for negative tactics against Burnley and Brentford at home that cost us points.
Recruitment wasn’t to blame for being so negative against a Palace side missing 7 guaranteed starters.

We should have a minimum of 5/6 additional points, and Coops would still be in position.

Luton aside (and personally I think that those subs made perfect sense at the time), these are pretty harsh criticisms. Palace one will always rile me, if you're going to use them missing starters as an excuse then I'd suggest Cooper basically has a free pass all season! We were missing just as many starters as they were and we were the better side during the game. Brentford and Man Utd we had players sent off and in Brentford case we overcame that really well, not sure why this game is a criticism.

Coops made plenty of mistakes (as every manager does) but no need to vilify him for pretty tenuous errors or stuff that was broadly out of his control like Man Utd.

According to Chris hughton on talk sport yesterday he claims he and probably cooper knew and agreed to all in coming signings ( apart from 2 )

Yes but that would not fit the narrative some are trying to spin.

I'm sure he was fully aware and on board with the majority of the transfers (although I can give you a list of players he clearly did not want to, starts with Dennis).

I would presume the club works like any major club does where the coach is asked what type of players they need, positions, style etc. Then the recruiting teams go and find the best ones to fit that mould. Then the manager would usually have a veto as what's the point of signing a player the manager wouldn't play.

Cooper is not a scout. I'd make a decent argument that the fact Cooper was so heavily involved in the Jan window was pretty detrimental to the business that was done and that the structure above was not followed.

To give another example of a team making the exact mistake above, Man Utd signed a bunch of players predominantly because they'd worked with Ten Hag, paid way over the odds and none have worked out. It's not a good structure and hopefully going forward Nuno has equally little involvement aside from saying his preferred tactics and players required to fit that and then confirming he'd actually play them!
