Got to say a couple of years in the usa to finish off your career is something that I'd fancy a lot.

So do we think we’ll still incorporate some of the U23’s this summer/pre-season now we’re prem league or is it a totally different focus?

If we’d still been in the champ I’d had definitely seen fornah in the match day squad with frequency so do we get him a championship loan this time? We have to remember he is older then Brennan and how long can we keep loaning him out? Maybe he might want to move on and establish himself some where.

Also what about those wing backs out on loan Ioannou and Drager I guess to some in the set up they weren’t worthy to be champ back up I take it they won’t be worth it as prem back up? Does Cooper at least want to see them first?

They gotta be on their bike.

Retained list announced. Grabban offered new contract. Bong, Figs and Jenkinson released.

Best of luck to all those leaving the club, especially Figs and Bong. Figs was class and this season slotted in seamlessly when our first choice was injured. Bong copped a lot of abuse from fans but he always put the effort in and was always available. Jenkinson.....hmm

Suprised we've offered Grabbs a new deal to be honest.

All the best Figs. Gave his all.

If nothing else Bong assisted Johnson's goal vs. the sheep. As you say, Figs stepped in for Cook this year and didn't really put a foot wrong. Results certainly didn't suffer.

The more i think about it the deal with Grabbs doesn't seem to bad. Keeping another memeber of this squad together, still decent on his day an won't be on silly prem wages.

That's what I think. Give him chances and he'll score goals still. He still seems in good shape and with being able to name nine subs and bring five on there's still scope for him to be involved.

I will miss Figs. Thanks for giving your all youth and all the best for your future career.

RE: NFFC Squad 2022/23 - Salvatore Matrecano - 10-06-2022

Good luck to Figs never let us down and gave his all, even when he was clearly homesick for a while. Same for Bong who wasn’t the best but behaved like a proper pro. It was great to see both celebrating at Wembley with the rest of the team.
Jenkinson, good riddance to one of the worst buys in the history of NFFC.
