Prime Joe Lolley in the mix too, he looks like he has that yard back, I would not back against him having a couple of match winning pivotal moments between now and the end of the season.

Yeah Lolley did look decent, we got to see the famous cut back and shot too (shame it went wide)
I agree I think we're the 3rd best team right now, maybe even 2nd best. I would be surprised if we didn't make the playoffs at this point and fear no-one. (Although if we do make it I hope it's not Boro otherwise we lose Spence!)

I guess the debate for these three games for Cooper, does he stick with the team that started vs Liverpool or switch back to a back 3, to unleash Spence and Johnson. If so is it Panzo, Soh or Yates (with Layrea at LWB or Cafu alongside Garner)? Based on the bench Soh is above Panzo and did look good for 20 mins before he got injured. I get why you'd stick with Lolley though and Zinc was definitely more comfortably in yesterday's formation too.
Pretty tough call either way, maybe McKenna will only miss these three above. I would choose Soh but I suspect after last night we'll see the same team again vs Blackpool.
The biggest positive we can take for the run-in from last night is surely that we can rely on Figs to cover at CB.
Figs was immense last night and had a very good game against QPR too
I think everyone did well last night but I would still go to a back 3. Think we lose a lot going forward when we revert to a back 4 (primarily Spence attacking as much).
Soh, Panzo or Harbottle in for me. I think Wozza and Figs can marshal whoever comes in more than well enough.
Yep plus Colback isn't great at LB either

For me reverting back to a 3 is favorable. Blood Panzo and Mbe Soh and free Spence on the R. Yates is too important now in CM to be wasted at CB.
Figs showed he is a very useful backup but i agree Colback is a better LWB than LB. I was a bit concerned with both Figs and Colback's efforts at playing out- they got caught a number of times in very worrying positions.

Think Colback was worse than Figgs in his distribution and playing our but we were playing a team that has worked for 5 years perfecting a 433 with a high press.
Loved that Figgs green in confidence to do a few runs and turns…

I think the whole team suffered from problems with distribution yesterday, Spence was a big culprit too. But it probably had something to do with the fact that the instant any of our received the ball they were closed down by one of the best players in the world. It was remarkable to watch from a defensive viewpoint.
I think he will keep a 4 until Mckenna returns personally, hopefully that will just be a few games.

Hovarth has been a very good shot stopper and played well but when teams press us like Liverpool did yesterday we miss Samba,s quality on the ball. Cook is also comfortable on the ball. When they are missing I think it makes us vulnerable to a high press. I think Blackpool will do that in our next game. Their attacking players work very hard closing down.

I think you're right, I would prefer to put Soh in but Lolley and Zinc played well, would be hard to take one of them out. This keeps our best available players on the field.
Blackpool won't be able to press quite as well as Liverpool so Spence should be able to get further forward and we can play out better through Garner and Yates.
